Even though he's a douche, I do think he is very talented!

That said, I could care less to see anyone for 40 minutes for one video.

Didn't Ne-Yo just try that shit?

^^^ He's a talentless bore. It's more hype and press around him than any real talent. Ain't no one humming his songs. It's all about how drunk he is, how he's boo hooing on stage, how he's a prick on stage, how he's constantly boycotting MTV cuz they hate black people. It's like a constant Farewell tour with this guy. He says one thing, and does another, over and over and over. He's a dickbag.

From wiki:

College Dropout:

The album debuted at number two on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, selling 441,000 copies in its first week. It was a massive commercial success, producing five singles that achieved chart success. Upon its release, The College Dropout received general acclaim from most music critics and earned West several accolades, including a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album at the 47th Grammy Awards. It is West's best-selling album in the United States, with domestic sales of over 3.5 million copies and worldwide sales of over four million copies. Rolling Stone named it the tenth-best album of the 2000s decade.

Late Registration:

The album debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, selling 860,000 copies in its first week. It ultimately sold three million copies in the United States and spawned five singles that attained chart success. Upon its release, Late Registration received general acclaim from most music critics and earned West several accolades, including a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album at the 48th Grammy Awards. It appeared at the top of several publications year-end lists of top albums. Initially naming it the best album of 2005, Rolling Stone ranked the album number 40 on its list of the best albums of the 2000s decade.

Graduation:

The album debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, selling 957,000 copies in its first week. The coinciding release dates of Graduation and rapper 50 Cent's Curtis generated much publicity over the idea of a sales competition, resulting in record-breaking sales performances by both albums. Graduation received generally positive reviews from most music critics and earned West several accolades, including a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. The album has sold 2,966,000 copies in the U.S. and has been certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

808s and Heartbreak:

The album debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, selling 450,145 copies in its first week, and it produced four singles that attained Billboard chart success. 808s & Heartbreak became his fourth album to sell 1 million copies in the United States and was certified platinum in sales by the Recording Industry Association of America. Despite a divided reaction from music audiences towards West's stylistic change, the album received generally positive reviews from most music critics upon its release. In 2009, Rolling Stone magazine named it the sixty-third best album of the 2000s decade.

Who exactly isn't humming his songs? You?

And me too.lol

The fact that he has all of those record sales just depresses me. It shows that the youth of today have no idea what good music is.

I like Kanye's music. I think he's very talented even if he lacks social skills.

But uh....I just saw a vid of his that I swear has that illuminati demon figurehead straight in it! It's masked by a bunch of women with swords and some with horns and some chicks making out with each other but if you look closely...that Bhaphomet figure is right there. Downright scary. Kanye won't live till 40 if he keeps this shit up.

And Ghosts wasn't ever released in America either. I have it on PAL VHS, and have only gotten to watch it via the web or crappy MPGs. How quickly they forget that long form music videos like 3 Chains O' Gold, an alleged "storyline" with a bunch of songs, was released in the US. So it's not the longest music video ever. Ghosts had more than one song in it, so did 3 Chains, and probably others. How is Kanye getting this press? It's bullshit.

It had it's US TV premiere in 2001 and was going to be played on NBC last year in October

The whole movie pretty much explains how MJ got into the club and all that other stuff, so I always thought it was the full length video ..

I've never seen the whole Purple Rain movie... neutral

I've said that so many times. It's one long ass video. nod I think all the actual dialogue adds up to about 25 minutes. The rest is music, lighting and peaks of flesh.

EmbattledWarri
or

Truth be told who isnt a talented bore these days.

Kanye West is a dick, big deal, who isn't in the music industry.

Even MJ was an asshole at times, you have to be, or else you're bound to get screwed, by someone who is an asshole.

You have to be seperate the person from their music, some of of kanye's stuff is pretty hot, except for 808's.

He's one of the few rap artist that supersedes the rap genre. You can't deny he's an eclectic cat.

And anyone who does deny it, simply doesn't know or like hip hop.

I may not like him as a person, I won't deny his impact on hip hop.

i can say the reverse about alot of people.

i love Ringo Starr, hate everything he's done outside of the beatles.

In this day and age, its very easy to become celebritized, just try your best and assume that at least 70 - 90% of what comes out of celebrities mouth is pure grade A, USDA, Bull shit,

you assume that, you'll find yourself laughing at these clowns rather than wasting a whole bunch of anger and disdain.

Hand on heart, I can quite honestly say I cant think of a KW song to hand, he's not universal it's a US thing.

lol I'm Australian, he's huge here.

Worldwide Sales:

College Dropout: 4 million

Late Reg.: 6 million

Graduation: 4.5 million

808s: 3.5 million

And Gold Digger was one of the biggest songs of 2005 lol

The single broke a record for the most digital downloads in a week, selling over 80,000 digital downloads, and was also the fastest selling digital download of all time; both records have since been broken. It was 2005's second-longest running number one on the Billboard Hot 100 at ten weeks, behind Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together". "Gold Digger" was nominated for Record of the Year at the 2006 Grammy Awards (losing to Green Day's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams") and won the award for Best Rap Solo Performance. The song lists at number 49 on Billboard magazine's All Time Top 100[2] and at 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 Songs of the Decade. The song was voted number 20 on VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop.

I mean damn, you could have just said, I don't agree, that you don't like KW and kept it moving.

Anyway, I like Kanye very much, he's pretty much my on;y hope for today's hip hop. lol But for him to outdo MJ, I mean really? His ego really gets the best of him way too much.
