I think 'American Life' is a great album.I just have to be in the mood to listen to it.Compared to most Madonna albums,it's very mellow with very little dance music.Most fans didn't seem ready for this type of album from Madonna.

Guess that's why I like it. I enjoy an occasional good dance track, but I don't go to clubs a lot. But I guess I'm definitely in the minority among Madonna fans. They generally prefer her more dance uptempo stuff.

I also prefer the beat from "Infinity", but maybe Pharrell helped flesh out the rest for it to have become "Give It To Me".

yep,that "Holiday" demo is fake.The music sounds more like the 'True Blue' era...as if someone took an instrumental demo from that era and placed the "Holiday" vocals on top of it.

Out of all the songs that leaked recently,this one is my favorite I can't believe that Madonna didn't place it on 'Hard Candy'.At the very least,she should have used it as one of the new songs on 'Celebration'.It's certainly a better,stronger song than "Revolver".

At first I thought "Animal" was weak but since then I like it, a definite grower!

I guess it was axed since it's essentially recreating the horse stuff from the CT so on tour it would have been highly redundant.

Animal is another Timbaland outtake, which suggests that at some point Hard Candy was set to head in a much darker direction. The full song leaked onto the internet on 6 September 2010. Some of the lyrics are as follows; "There's no use goin' back 'cos the damage is done. Throw away all the rules, 'cos there's gonna be none. Go on and let yourself go 'cos there's no time to think. Now I'm in control of your animal instinct. If you want, I'll treat you like an animal. If you want, I'll feed you like an animal. If you want, I'll hunt you like an animal. I like what the song evolved into,but there's something really cool about Timbaland's beat That demo version is nice.

would anyone be able to recommend a top madonna site that lists the "available" unreleased tracks? while searching for these tunes last night i discovered a tune i had never heard "i can't forget" from the STR sessions and i was wondering if there were any other acoustic/unplugged style madonna rarities out there. her voice sounds so pretty with just a guitar... i hope she goes classy with the next album and delivers more ballads/"grownup" music. all these timbo/pharell outtakes are nice but for reals the hard candy stuff is generally terrible.

Among the previous leaks, "The Game" & "Is This Love" are the only other acoustic songs from what I know.

I don't see Madonna reverting back to the grown up music for a while, her singles wouldn't gain any attention that way. She might record one for the usual acoustic performance of the tour but other than that the ballad period of hers was restricted to 2003 and most of the 90s when everyone was doing ballads anyway.

when I listen to "Animal",I think about that awesome magazine photo shoot that Madonna did a few months ago.Imagine if those photos made up the artwork and the album was titled 'Animal Instinct'.....a bold,aggressive concept album about a cougar on the prowl It would have been interesting!

i think i actually like this one the most. i'm just getting tired of her 'sound' and i'd like

to see her go back to something way more basic.

or at least something more organic with some real instruments and some actual good,

strong songs instead of just beat heavy dance kinda hip hoppy songs she's been doing

since, it seems like, forever now.

not saying those songs are no good, her albums are always fun, but i've been hoping

for a change in style and direction for a while now.
