This takes me back to 1984/1985? Good times! U have a good radio station!

If it breaks when it bends, U better not put it in!

Being a huge fan of The Jam, The Style Council was a huge disappointment at the time. Having said that, this was one song I did love back then.

And this one too, which was the B side to A Solid Bond In Your Heart, I believe:

This is not an exit

If you want to find more TSC you could check out the fan page I set up for their only published biography "Mr Cool's Dream". It's full of exclusive news, video clips, songs, unpublished photos and is endorsed by all members of the band and many of the people who worked with them.

I highly reccomend the Complete Adventures of the Style Council box set. You can get it brand new on amazon for about thirty bucks. It's true that the earlier stuff is better than the later stuff but there's enough quality music to warrant a purchase.

Yeah Cinnie, I have it... and I love it. If you want to see more visit my FB page (link provided on my earler post in this thread) where I have added over 100 clips which aren't featured on the dvd and are mostly unreleased on dvd. Fresh clips are constantly being added.

True, their later recordings weren't as good but their last album "Confessions Of A Pop Group" was outstanding. By far the most experimental album Paul Weller ever recorded.

Best albums are 'Our favourite shop' (also as legacy version available) and 'Cafe bleu'.

Really cool.

also remember 'Absolute beginner' film with remarkable 'new' songs by Bowie, Style Council, Sade, Ray Davies, Working Week etc...

Does anyone else hear a variation on the chorus to "Rocket Love" by Stevie Wonder as the basis for "Shout To The Top"?

Yeah I hear it Cinnie, never noticed it before! Probably not a concious steal by Weller though... unlike some of his other songs.
