Man they could've released all the tracks on Poison and it would've been a hit. I think they released five or six from that album if I'm not mistaken.

My house was playing all those non-singles anyway smile

I quite enjoyed the remix album as well, but they were just trying to clone the debut lol

Well that's what was hot back then. lol Of course when "Hootie Mack" came out it was a different time. As they said they didn't have it the second time around lol

I loved both versions of "Word To The Mutha".

TLC's debut sounded like BBD's. Post-new jack swing, but pre-shit hop.

Exactly. And it was like they knew the roles.

T-Boz was DeVoe

Chili was Bell

Left Eye was Biv

That simple lmao

It is as great documentary, but I couldn't help but lol everytime someone said "...our/ their solo album...".

I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

I have had "I do need you" on repeat for the last few days. That is still one of my favorite BBD jams though it didnt get a whole lot of credit on Poison.

Destiny's Child had the same formula, except Beyonce was Bobby Brown.

This thread had me looking up videos on youtube and I came across this from a recent BBD show at BB Kings. A "Poison" dance contest, that looked like too much fun. Dude at the hand looked like he'd been practicing for real.

Not when they were Gyrls Tyme (or however they spelled their name) when there were like six girls. So they were kinda like the female version of Another Bad Creation who was the '90s version of New Edition who was...well you know. lol

I was 10 when Poison dropped and that album just ruled that era. They really did change the game at that point now that I look back at it. Im looking forward to more from them all.

Thank you for posting this, I missed it, for some reason my DVR didn't record it and I thought I wouldn't get to see it until the rest of the series finished.

I LOVED BBD. 'm 33 so I was around thru the NE/BBD thing. I am ashamed to say that Biv was my favorite with his little ass. I'm on the org, so I guess that means I have a secret penchant for short musicians. cool

I'm surprised Ron never wanted to say "the low-pro ho" in Poison

I know Michael Biven's cousin Bo. He was my camp counselor when I was 12 (1991) years old. Its a small world.

I was surprised to hear that as well. He delivered that line soooo convincingly. Seemed natural.

I finally watched it. A half an hour isn't long enough really for these Life After docus that TV One does, but an hour would be too long. They need a 45 minute show or something.

I remember all of that tho, Hootie Mack too. I actually have that CD, apparently I was one of the very few people who did buy it. I agreed that there really wasn't a strong single on there at all.

So what's Biv up to these days? I believe they are all married now, right? I even heard that Ricky and Ralph has a double wedding? Did that really happen or was that just a rumor?

I remember "Somethin In Your Eyes" getting strong play when I was a freshman in highschool but it was nothing like the "Poison" and "Do Me!".
