Robert Randolph - New Album and a Prince Cover

On Robert Randolph's great new album "We Walk This Road" he chooses what I thought was kinda and off chice of Prince cover tunes; "Walk, Don't Walk". I didn't even realize when looking at the title, only when it played and I was like... I know this song...

Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

They're due to be on one of the late night shows tonight. Leno, I believe. (And Herbie Hancock is due to be on Fallon after that).

I saw them play on TV the first time they came out as a new band. I kind of just skipped over them over the years since, because I didn't feel I needed CDs of that kind of heavy blues rock that they did (at that time).

I just downloaded Colorblind and Unclassified, so check them out. Can't find the new one.

I first saw him when he played with Santana a few years back.

I bought Unclassified and Colorblind after that, and saw him twice- one time was NYE in NJ. Great show!!

I just ordered the new one on Amazon.

Listening to "Walk Don't Walk" right now. Really great cover.

I DO miss the car horn in the chorus, strangely enough.

Also, any time I hear any version of this song, I wanna sing "Soli-a-coolia" during the chorus. lol

Ernest, how were those albums?

I got mine two days ago. I need to listen to it a little more.

The second song, "Back to the Wall" reminds me of "Since Supernatural" on Santana's "Shaman".

With these two shows I've been concentrating on this week, I've not put a lot of effort into listening to them. I am going to put them on the iPod this weekend and play them while we're out.

I really liked "Colorlbind". It took me a while to get into "Unclassified".

The new RR album is fantastic. Saw them live last night... why on earth aren't they bigger? Should be selling out stadiums with gigs like that. Amazing amazing live show.

just picked this up finally and LOVE the cover of "Walk Don't Walk" - - awesome vibe on this tune. Great job with it, much more soulful and richer than Prince's original recording.

Maybe he'll sue them for covering his song! Does that count as "doing something with them"?

lol

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!
