I just acquired the Centric channel. What's the pattern of the Soul Train episodes? Do they rerun the same Ep the whole weekend?

How about the same shows every two to three weeks.

That's because they had plan to do the bait and switch all along. Throw you a bone and then tell ya, "you can see all Soul Train Episodes on DVD".

Bunk that, I'm getting my bootleg copies from SoulAlive. lol

For real. I'm gonna have to talk to him too. I just got me a dvd recorder last month and i'm

all hype about taping episodes and they keep showing the same ones over and over. I wish

WGN would get them back. They did a better job. I may just have to record some of the

episodes i have on VHS to dvd.

But the DVD's don't even have complete episodes, just chopped up performaces like those Def Comedy Jam tapes, lol.

Soul Train On Demand is way better.

If that's the case why pay all that money to purchase them. Like i said earlier, if Centric don't

start airing different episodes i will just have to copy the episodes i have on VHS to DCD.

Is Soul Train on demand online?

I have no clue if it's online. Like the start of each month, they add about 20 past performances. You can watch them individualy, or as a play list.

That wouldn't work because they only have particular performances (from only the hugest stars that TV has worn out for years) on the DVDs for sale. The DVDs for sale aren't the full episodes.

WGN did a much better job. They rarely aired the same episode twice and they also showed several episodes of groups like Lakeside, Brick, Con Funk Shun, etc. that weren't the overplayed "legends".

When WGN was airing the episodes, I recorded about 48 or 49 episodes. When Centric started airing them, I haven't made it to 60 episodes yet because they kept airing the same damn episodes that WGN aired a few years ago. Now I don't have cable anymore and I don't miss it at all. The only thing I ever watched on it was "Soul Train" and I see Centric is still fucking up.

That's the way to go though, recording your VHS tapes onto DVDs. I bought a DVD recorder back when WGN first started airing "Soul Train" and immediately recorded the first 7 or 8 episodes I had on VHS onto DVDs.
