Trini, rumor has it Don and O'Bryan had a falling out and Don ruined O'Bryan's career.

Well, after watching, that documentary on Soul Train, "The Hippest Trip In American", I would not doubt it. He did not seem so hip, after all. I don't know if you have seen it, but they talked about him not wanting any rappers on the show.

confuse I've watched quite a few Soul Train clips starting in 1986 with rappers hitting the stage: LL Cool J, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Salt N Pepa.

Don always seemed quite rap-friendly in the interviews. sad

He had to, Cinnie. If he didn't, it would have caused a stir. If you have not seen that documentary that I was talking about, you should.
