"Feedback" came way before "Just Dance". lol Plus Gaga's debut was no different than what Rodney had produced with JJ. lol

I'm just saying. What does she mean by "enjoy"? lol His music, right? RIGHT?! lol

She's just being nice. Janet's not inspired by his fuckery. rolleyes

She listens to Brazilian Jazz and Blues for inspiration. Her last two albums were inspired by the troll. Reason why they're bad.

#FAIL.

Feedback came out in 2007 long before Gags made her debut.

I will never understand why people are acting like Gags is an originator and would ever inspire a hair on Janet's body.

It would be nice if some people on here would THINK before they typed.

"Feedback" was released in December 2007. Lady Gaga made her debut the following year.

The Janet now is just a bad imitation of her old self. So she's inspired by - Janet.

Janet's time has passed as it relates to the music scene, obviously even she realises this with her move to focusing on movies now. Another Janet album is gonna follow in the way the past three did. The music scene is different, the industry is different, theres no place for her in it. It was a mistake to release back to back albums after the Superbowl fiasco, did her no favours.

There's no room for Prince either then. He's 10 years older than her, and was releasing albums years before she was releasing them.

Obviously your statement is utter nonsense.

No never.

I don't mind, I lost interest a looong time ago when her albums became snoozefests with all those semi erotic boring ballads. And there's only so much mileage you can get with a less than stellar voice.

Of course her 2004 publicity stunt didn't help much either.

Negative. confused

Janet is focusing on movies because its a passion of hers that she put aside for her music.

and how do you know her album is going to go by like her last three? You don't.

I'm laughing at some of the responses, but hear some of them

I'm one of her biggest fans, but I also agree that the music industry doesn't give a shit about her anymore, and that's why doing movies is a wise choice for her. At least we on this board know acting is one of her passions, but I also think it's a smart move for her since 3 in a row were number one for her. If she did soundtrack songs for them, that's cool too, but Nothing was not her best, something like Again or Doesn't Really Matter will make an impact if their cards are played right.

I saw that clip of Janet a few weeks ago and love that Janet. I feel like she's been different in recent years and that's fine and all change, but it changed her sound too. I do like a lot of songs on her last 3 albums a lot, but they still don't compare to the brilliance of rhythm nation and velvet rope though I also know janet is more relaxed now. I would like to still see her make that album about racism and anger she spoke of during that damita jo, or that jazz/blues/brazillian sound she wanted to experiment with. People don't realize she's versatile cause it seems like people throw current sounding songs on her now.

Exactly. She even said that she enjoys acting more than making music because its more of a challenge for her.

I remember her saying that too and she would talk about acting a lot during the VR era too, but I really think music is her passion too, how not after doing all those albums, especially Control, RN, janet and VR

No, you mean her core audience is uninterested with her. She's still praised within the industry but record executives WON'T push a 43-year-old pop star before their 20-something-year-olds no matter how much she accomplished. They know young artists bring in more money. So they won't even bother with Janet.

And those 3 movies didn't go #1 because of Janet. I don't think she's a big box office draw. Poetic Justice most likely did well because of her (she was in her peak commercially) but NP II was a sequel and WDIGM is a Tyler Perry movie. Janet's focusing on movies because she wants to act more. That's all. She's working on more films now and soon will portray her idol - Eartha Kitt.

Acapella filter of Janet singing "Scream" 'live' at last years VMAs

I love the rawness of her voice

Someone should try and make a "Live" version of Scream using MJs live vocals from the Brunei show and Janets vocals from here
