I had the same reaction that this was an older, mature MJ that was ready to show the world he hadn't lost his gift to entertain and to perform to the best of his ability. That show was gonna be massive. Seeing it only confirmed that Michael had never lost the will to perform...and live.

bawl

Yeah it's sad but least a peaceful feeling came over me watching it. He's still entertaining the angels. smile

Russell Crowe Says MJ Pranked Him

(5-5-2010) Actor Russell Crowe says that after he shot to fame he gained a whole slew of new celebrity friends and one of them was Michael Jackson.

The brooding actor recently told British GQ that he and the King of Pop became good pals because they shared a similar sense of humor and often enjoyed playing pranks on each other.

Crowe said Jackson would regularly phone him and try to convince him he was in trouble, much to the actor’s amusement.

“A gruff voice would say something was wrong, then this tiny little voice [would say] ‘Don’t worry. This is Michael,’” Russell revealed in an interview for the June issue of the British edition of GQ magazine.

Russell also said that Jackson often invited him to visit his Neverland Ranch but, unfortunately, Crowe never took him up on his offer.

Russell admits he hasn’t always been the victim of prank phone calls though - he has also made his fair share of them, dating all the way back to his childhood. When he was just 10 years old he would phone people and try to convince them they had won a fantastic vacation to a remote location in the South Pacific.

“I’d be pretending to be a radio DJ, telling people they had won a prize. We’d tell them they had won a week in Vanuatu but they had to get there by canoe,” he confessed.

I never knew Joanna did an interview about her 'fling" with Michael.

there are a group of fans that followed Michael around. They say that she had a little something going on with his staff. Other fans have said that Michael told his guards not to take advantage of fans... apparently that was the case here with Joanna.

I actually took another good look at This Is It last night and I saw alot of energy from Michael. He knew what he wanted musically and still had all the moves though alittle slower. I feel if he would have lived he could have done all the O2 shows-so sad that the world couldn't see it unfold.

I still haven't watched my blu ray version. I keep saying I am going to,but then I just can't. sad

When it comes to people coming forward lately, and wanting to be linked with Michael in some way, especially personally/romantically,I tend not to take it to seriously. He is not here to give his side or confirm if it is true or not,so it is all one sided,so really anybody could say that they knew him in one way or another. Yeah, she has pictures of them together, but so do some fans. shrug

Watch the behind the scenes stuff - the bonus content on the Blu-Ray is worth the cost alone - brilliant stuff.

Has anyone ever noticed vocal/editing flaws in some of MJ's songs?

2Bad- in the intro, the guy says "the king of rock comes on", but RIGHT before he says "rock", it sounds like a piece was edited out or skipped

You Are Not Alone- after he hits that long note at the end, you can hear him breathe heavy into the mic. he lets out a big PUFF!

i think those were left in intentionally

I was reading on gearslutz and some of the engineers who worked with Michael talked about the recording process with him. He wanted things to be as immaculate but at the same time, sound natural

One thing that's interesting. In some cases, he'd do a demo, work on it himself, then give it to the co-producer to work on it more, like Streetwalker. The version we have isn't from the Bad sessions, it's from '88-89 when he was on tour. Bill Bottrell worked on it. Sometimes, another groove or beat would evolve from it, which Dangerous did

Thats crazy. How for sure are you that we have a later version of Streetwalker? I'd like to hear more demos from the Bad session

Bill Bottrell (the guy who cowrote and mixed it) said the one we have is from 88

It could be from the 1985 Diana Ross 'Eaten Alive' sessions,in which Barry and Michael collaborated on the title track.
