I never really liked Mint Condition that much because STokley's voice annoyed me after about 2 or 3 songs. Not that he can't sing, I'm just not a fan of high pitched vocalists.

Lol.....Stoke has a low register also.

A low register that sounds "winey" to me at times. I just don't like him for some reason. lol

My personal faves, and again, no way indicative of the best male voices ever:

Michael Jackson (but before he got all excessive with the shamones and hee hees) and truthfully I still contend that Jermaine actually has a better voice, but the grease and the attitude are a turn off

Marvin Gaye
Luther Vandross
Maxwell
Marques Houston (needs to break away from his lil crew and get some better material)
Ne-Yo
George Michael
Jamie Foxx (needs to check his ego though, but his voice is crazy)
Lionel Richie
Mario (also needs better material)

falloff falloff @ the "hee hees" and the "shamones" and that Jermaine stuff..
Aww Gawdn U made my day biggrin

By Jove, haven't you any finesse or sophistication man?!!

I feel one should always be commended when being concise while still making the necessary points needed to encapsulate their thoughts on a subject. Therefore, here is an essay detailing why you erred in mentioning that awful man, containing all essential reasons in a concises manner:

Freddie Mercury's songs.
Freddie Mercury's moustache.
Freddie Mercury's stage presence.
Freddie Mercury's spandex catsuits.
Freddie Mercury's bandmate Brian May.
Freddie Mercury's bandmate Brian May's guitar playing.
Freddie Mercury's bandmate Brian May's hair.
Freddie Mercury's bandmate Brian May's love of astronomy.

eek How can u not hear the similarities? Depending on the song, but songs like "Untitled" and "Send It" are very Prince-like. He fashioned a lot of his background vocals to be Prince-like.

2. R. Kelly (very good arranger, composer, etc... But not a mindblowing singer!)

How can u say he's not a "mindblowing" singer? I wouldn't classify him as my favorite male singer, but R. has a rawness that is reminiscent of some of the greats.

I think this is one of his best vocal performances on record. It shows so much depth and emotion in his vocal delivery.

Some of the people on that list have a different singing style so their falsetto register takes up most of their singing. Maxwell, Debarge, Prince and possibly MJ. So I don't think that's a far comparison. The thing is when they sing outside of that register they sound like shit. R. could easily sing all of the people on that list under the table. Yes, I said it biggrin

I saw your boy live, he's a verry good singer but better then MJ ? No, not in this lifetime.

I don't know about Debarge but I kind of see what you're saying about Prince, in his natural register he might not be the best singer but he's wise enough to sing most of his songs outside of it wink

And Maxwell was a hell of singer, in his falscetto & outside of it, he just can't bring it how he used to.

I always thought it was a given he's a better vocalist than MJ? More range, strength, technique, etc. shrug

MJ has a good head voice but chest voice? No.

I'll give you the strenght but MJ is better at anything else IMO and I love his chest voice, it's nice and pure

Why do you think that Maxwell is a falscetto singer ? He's definitely not !

LOL! I guess.... MJ wasn't that good of a singer, imo. His voice was very pop I think that's why many love it. But R. is easily a better singer.

I don't think Maxwell is a pure falsetto singer like the Debarges, Phillip Bailey and Eddie Kendricks. He sounds forced and annoying but I still like a few of his songs from his previous albums.

KI! Stop sharing your fantasies on an open forum. I
highly doubt R. Kelly would share his cack with you. Tough luck.
Maybe, you should try those other "vocalists" that you think can out
sing him.
