Before I discovered Prince at 15, this was my favorite song ever. The version I remember most was the NY Kiss FM mastermix by I believe Shep Pettibone. dancing jig

I love the KISS FM mastermix of "Call Me" by Skyy. That one made it all the way down to my area and for years I thought it was the original 12 inch version until I saw it on youtube and saw that it was a special remix that Shep did for the radio station. I see they did a lot of remixes on that station. I recently saw one of "Controversy" too. That must have been a slammin' station.

The Kiss mastermix of "Pop Goes My Love" was killer too. I like that one more than the 12" version. I don't remember the mastermix for "Controversy", but I did think the one for "When Doves Cry" wasn't bad. Yeah, that station had a lot of special remixes.

Oh yeah, New York's WKTU & KISS were the shit back in the day. The DJs were on point too - remember Paco and Rosko?

But for some SERIOUS mixes, you had to listen to my homie Chuck D when he was a DJ on our old college radio station, WBAU - 90.3(Adelphi University). Dude wasn't famous then, but he was ahead of his time - shit was slammin'!!! I wish I had taped those shows.

Did Freeeze ever release a complete album? Or just a few 12" singles? I'd be interested in finding a copy of their debut album.

I think I must have been one of the few people that hated this record.

I couldnt get enough of the single "southern freez" but this was too commercial for me. sad
