The video makes it confusing. Michael said he took the song out of the show that Diana was attending, BUT at the end of the video, they played a snippet of him performing the song. It just wasn't clear if the video was saying that he DID perform it at Diana's show, or he DID perform it at a show Diana DIDN'T attend.

Unless someone at the show says otherwise who knows. I know during that tour he did like 9 shows at Wembley so he would have played it on other nights. May just be an over zealous fan who discovered it on a wembley bootleg and figured it was that show. It gets confusing as I seem to recall reports at the time saying he played it to the delight of Diana, and others claiming he didn't play it.

No clearer.

That pretty much sums it up.

I'm not sure about "Dirty Diana" - it sounded like on
the footage, Michael said he DIDN'T. However, it could
have been edited before Michael finished his thought about
it, or possibly Michael recalled wrong. He had done tons of
shows since then. 2 whole tours later and 20 some
years later..let's ask him nitty/gritty details lol

Back on topic to "This Is It"

I loved when MJ smiled right after "They Don't Care About Us" ended
and Kenny says "Slow umbrella. Fade out." And then as its fading, you
see MJ smile. I remember seeing him show that smile in that shot on
the press footage AEG released shortly after his passing, and it made
me get emotional then too. However, in the movie, my emotions are so
heavy all over the place.

I think that is one of the things I'll miss about Michael being
alive the most, is seeing him smile. Something about his smile made
everything seem okay in the world.

Well, it doesn´t make sense to me with the rest of the text.

Wait, so did he sing it or not? The comments on the video are confusing

If you are talking about the Dirty Diana performance, then I think he didn´t. He took it out of the show and when he found out that Princess Diana loves the song, it was too late to put it back into the show. BTW, the way he speaks about her makes you think there might have been "something" going on between them. lol Plus he admited in the Schmuley tapes that she was his "dream" woman.

"delicate" as in "fragile". It made perfect sense in context. I'm sorry u did not understand the sentence.

Okay, so MJ DID perform Dirty Diana at the July 14th show, but DIDNT perform it at the July 16th show (where Diana was in attendance)?

HAHAHAHAHA! Okay, THIS IS ALL I WANT TO KNOW

Did Michael Joseph Jackson perform the hit song "Dirty Diana" during his show at the Wembley Stadium on July 16th, 1988 while Princess Diana was in attendance?
