There are two songs that let me know when it's Christmas time:

The famous animated :30 jingle television spot accompanied by the B.C. Clark Jingle, possibly the longest continuously running advertising jingle in the entire United States. The jingle was written and first produced for B.C. Clark Jewelers in 1956.

And this girl, who my grandma Rich babysat when the girl was very very young. Hallmark came out with a Christmas ornament this year that played a snip of the song. I HAD to buy it.

Others I enjoy are:
Burl Ives - Holly Jolly Christmas
Burl Ives - Santa Claus Is Coming To Town
Burl Ives - Rudolph
Amy Grant - Emmanuel / Little Town
Mariah Carey - Joy To The World

"A Christmas Song" by Nat King Cole may be my favorite Christmas song of all time. I remember my parents used to leave the radio on playing softly all night long on Christmas Eve. I would always get up before dawn and sneak down to see all of my toys under the tree. For some reason, I clearly recall that song playing just as I laid yes on all of my presents one Christmas. It has been forever linked with that moment.

I also love the Vince Guaraldi Charlie Brown Christmas album.

A guilty pleasure is "Last Christmas" by Wham. I have to crank that up everytime I hear it. lol

I wrote this little festive number with my co-writer back in 2000. It charted at No. 14 in the UK Charts in Dec 2000. My Parents were veryproud of the song, but tragically both passed away suddenly in late Nov 2007 and 2008 repectively. I miss them with all my being, and two days ago i compiled some family photos. They won't meant anything to people who didn't know my family, but maybe the song will mean something to anyone who is also bereaved through this festive time. Peace and

Celine Dion "O Holy Night". not only the most beautiful holiday song ever, but maybe the best musical recording ever. this song gets me everytime. and NO other version even compares to this one. i even throw it on out of season once in a while because it is simply amazing.

other favourites:

Madonna "santa baby"
kylie minogue "santa baby"
earta kitt "santa baby"
Wham! "Last Christmas"
George Michael "december song"
sting "gabriel's message" incredible!
Band Aid "Do they know it's Christmas?"
Jose Feliciano "Feliz Navidad"
Nat King Cole "little drummer boy" , "o come all ye faithful"

entire Christmas albums i enjoy

Celine Dion
Nat King Cole
Gloria Estefan
Christina Aguilera
Faith Hill
Mariah Carey
A Very Special Christmas (1st one)
Vanessa Williams

there are a few others i enjoy but mainly the ones listed.
