L.A. Carnival - Would Like To Pose A Question 
...re-released 2003 The "Minute By Minute" post reminded me of its co-writer Lester Abrams. In the late 60s/early 70s he had a band in Omaha called L.A. Carnival. Rather than me trying to tell the story, this clip lays it all out... ...L.A. Carnival: Tracking Down The Lost Funk Band Got a few goosebumps listening to the beginning of the clip. In the early 80s, I was fortunate enought to play with Lester during an informal jam. He would sit at the piano and come up with these grooves (clapping his hands, gruntin' & groanin'), exactly like the clip shows. Crazy. I played "Color" by La Carnival on of the Mixshows I have been trying to find this album. And Pari I played at the Hip joint I think you were outside when I did  | |
