Fans storm out of the Britney Concert In Perth

Angry fans have marched out of Britney Spears' debut Australian concert in protest of the star's "really bad" performance.

Some people began leaving after only three songs as the pop star's The Circus show fell flat in front of 17,000 fans at Perth Burswood Dome last night, News Ltd newspapers report.

"We are really big Britney fans but it was crap," one fan, Josh Blee, was quoted as saying.
"I thought after the music awards she would make up for it with a wicked concert, but she has let us down," he said.

Fans complained about Spears's lip-synching and her lack of interaction with the audience.
Some felt let down that giant screens above the stage featured circus imagery rather than close-ups of the singer live in action.
Another fan who left early, Maria Carmody, told the newspaper Spears looked like "a little dot on the stage".

Ms Carmody said she was also upset the general admission area was not better policed as fans jostled for position, some pushing and shoving.
The walk-outs come a day after one politician said Spears should be forced to alert fans if she intended to mime throughout her shows.
NSW Fair Trading Minister Virginia Judge said concert-goers deserve to be told if musicians are going to sing live before forking out hundreds of dollars for a ticket.

Spears will perform 14 more concerts in Australia this month, with Melbourne next on her itinerary, followed by Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide.

This supposed 'outrage' is phoney people. All the "media outlets" that initially reported all of that stuff were part of the same Murdoch conglomerate (News.com,au/The Daily Telegraph/Ninemsn/The Sun/etc.) They obviously thought it would make a good story for some reason which sort of baffles me. Britney & lipsynching is like peanut butter & jelly. That's why the reaction is such a YAWN. This is all 10-year-old re-hashed shit. I don't know, must have been a slow news day. Anyway, all of these tabloids aren't good enough for toilet paper.

In fact, she actually broke P!nk's attendance record at the Burswood Dome. P!nk drew 17,500, Britney drew 18,272...Oh excuse me, 18,269 since 3 Aussie's were supposedly so furious at the lipsynching.

A tour promoter has revealed that Britney Spears is “extremely upset” over attacks in the Australian media that concertgoers walked out of her show in Perth, disgruntled with her lip-syncing.

The pop princess, who’s doing a string of sold-out shows down under, has come under fire for miming at her concerts, with the New South Wales state government using Spears as an example to promote a new lip-sync warning system on tickets and promotions of concerts.

“It’s the biggest lie I’ve ever heard,” promoter Paul Dainty told The Australian. “I’m so angry. We can take heat if there’s something wrong and people can review shows badly — that’s something you have to live with — but to say people stormed out of the show was an absolute fabrication.”

He added, “Britney is aware of all this and she’s extremely upset by it. She’s a human being. I’m embarrassed, with such a big international entourage here with Britney, to be part of the Australian media when I see that kind of totally inaccurate reporting.”

I think obviously they knew she was going to lip synch, but maybe they'd never been to a show like that before and didn't realise JUST how boring they are to watch when you're paying a stupid price for the tickets. When Britney came to the UK her tickets were TWICE the price of Beyonce, Kylie and Pink etc. Only Madonna charged more.

Being mad at Britney Spears Lip-Synching in concert is like getting mad at Bruce Springsteen for having more than one encore!!!

I still don't know how she even has a career.

She should have gone away like Debbie Gibson after the 1st album, and the world would be a lot better place. Musically speaking. At least Debbie wrote all her stuff and sang live! And at least Debra has gained some respectability in recent years.

My problems with her have nothing to do with her personal problems. It's because her music is god awful and hasn't changed in 10 years!

The fact that people are surprised and angry that Britney Spears lip-syncs is hilarious!
