Each headliner is in bold, and each act underneath them will be the special guest in the headliner's set. Each night is supposed to have massive jam sessions at the end. There will be a stage like a vinyl record that allows more than one act to be set up and not have much down time between acts.

Night 1, a six hour concert with minimal down time between acts...
Show was opened by Jerry Lee Lewis, he was followed by Crosby, Stills and Nash, who strutted out several special guests: Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne and James Taylor; then it was Paul Simon as a solo act, he brought out David Crosby and Graham Nash; and also Dion, and Little Anthony and The Imperials; at the end he did a set with Art Garfunkel; then it was Stevie Wonder, who had special guests: Smokey Robinson, John Legend, B.B. King and s rousing set closer with Jeff Beck on "Supersition". Wonder originally wrote the funk monster song for Beck in 1972, but his label, Motown squelched Wonder's gift and released it as a single on Stevie. This marked the first time in 37 years that the two ha played it together live. Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band closed the show with The Boss bringing out special guests: Sam Moore (of Sam and Dave), Tom Morello (of Rage Against The Machine), John Fogerty (ex-Creedence Clearwater Revival), Darlene Love, surprise super star Billy Joel and for the finale Peter Wolf (ex singer with The J Geils Band).
Night 2 starts at 7:30PM eastern time tonight. Scheduled performers are:
Aretha Franklin with her special guests Annie Lennox and Lenny Kravitz; Metallica with their special guests Ray Davies of The Kinks, Lou Reed and Ozzy Osbourne (ex Black Sabbath lead singer); Jeff Beck (a last minute replacement for the ailing Eric Clapton), his guests will include: Buddy Guy and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top. Closing the show will be U2. Their guests are set to include:
Mick Jagger, Bruce Springsteen, The Black Eyed Peas and Patti Smith.
HBO will air a 4 hour special of thes concerts on November 29th.

I attended the show back stage view and it was amazing the only thing when it was time for Stevie Wonder the sound wasn't working so great ! and what great harmony from Simon & Garfunkel and what a treat to see STING & BONNIE RAIT !


I passed on tonight's show too tired but would have loved to hear ANNIE LENNOX LIVE !
