This year's hip hop honors wasn't all that great to me. It was good, no doubt, but there wasn't that one highlight that stood out this year. I mean it was great seeing EPMD on stage once again, haven't seen that in years...but other than that, it was average. Far from the shows that featured the superb Big Daddy Kane performance the year he was honored, the year Wu Tang was honored and KRS One. I guess they running out of people to honor because this year picked Def Jam as a record label to honor. That was creative. So next year are they going to honor Death Row Records? That would be interesting. "Who gonna check me boo?" Boriqua1130 said: It's never too late, to be "Experienced"

Well nothing will beat the former years' performances by Rakim and Big Daddy Kane, but the Method Man/Redman... Method Man/Mary J Blige performances were off the damn CHAIN.

Is U CRAZY??? Anyway I believe because hip hop is destroying itself no one seems to care. I did watch Warren G do Regulate with..no other than TREY SONGZ!?!?!?! Even Warren look like he was mad about that one. It just did NOT look right. Redman and Meth was there...that was ok...then Mary came out to do that mess of a song they did in 1995... (HATED that tune). When we say that the purpose of life is to find God, surely that desire to find God is an escape from life -Conciouscontact

What's the story about LL refusing to be there and his issue with Def Jam? I heard some stuff over on OKP but not too sure I'm out of the loop, I missed this years and didn't read anything about Def Jam beef. didn't he JUST re-new his contract before his last album?

TonyVanDam said: LittleBLUECorvette said: No Limit Records Delicious Vinyl Records Suave House Records Which I think just had 8-Ball and MJG on the label. They also had a group called Psycho Drama who was a huge underground favorite here in the Chi, but their album never came out. It would've sucked anyway, 'cause they dropped their female member Newsense from the group. Which was wack. JERKIN' EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!!!
