I'm going to plug my computer into my stereo this weekend and record it onto a CD. That's one of the best disco megamixes I've heard.

Three questions:

1. Do you have an iPod, Cell phone, MP3 player of any kind?

2. Are using Mac or Windows?

3. What OS are you using for the Internet? (Internet Explore, FireFox, Google Chrome etc....)

Then I can suggest some options. smile

1. IPod - yes

2. Mac

3. Safari is the main one, but also uses Firefox and Camino.

Sorry it took me a bit. Two different free software conversions for Mac I used to use are no longer availiable,

But that's OK because I've found this one.

2. Savevid.com

http://www.savevid.com/

Instructional Video

Looks relatively simple. I don't allow Apples to sync, so if you are like me, you manually manage your music and vidoes, skip the sync process or all your stuff will be wiped out as you know.

There's another one but I was iffy about it ( interms of how it work, it may have had some glitches just a lil' bit cumbersome) how it worked. But if this one doesn't work we can try the other one.

I'm not at home so, I can't test it out the savevideo software on my Mac. If you have any question let me know.

hmmm I let Apple sync my Ipod. I don't have the interest in handpicking what goes on there. So I definitely don't want my over 6,000 song collection to be in jeopardy of getting wiped out. I thought there was like a link to a website to download it like a free mp3 site or a dj site.

If you Sync your music and videos you should have an issue. Nah, I'm not sure why but there are some many more options in free software for Windows OS than for Apple when it come to stuff like these. If you wanna pay, I'm sure there is some software out there that can move stuff to Youtube to Mac/itouch.

Here's the other alternative its called. Vixy.net Converter Desktop Version (BETA): http://vixy.net/

It works just like the other one but it also has another app you can download to your Mac, scroll down to you right and you see App for MAC OSX. Here are some instructions... there ok I would have like it more if they he had spoken instead of type thing out the instructions.... trying to be be different and cute I guess.

I forgot.

Even so you would still need to convert Youtube files which use a FLV format, you need to convert that file to either MP3, WMV, AVI, MPG, 3GP, MP4, etc
If you use the first application I would recommend you could simply download the video convert it and access it through Apples downloads/documents or move it to the desktop of you computer click on it and it should play in Quicktime and/or move it to your iPod.

You did mentioned you use Firefox. You can use firefox internet browser to download youtube video; firefox has provide this video downloader where you can download youtube videos. The link below. Ignore that AVS Video Convert download at the top that site on that page has nothin to do what you want to do.

http://downloadvideo.50webs.com/ Read everything and watch the how to video and click on the link to get you over to "Download Helper".
