Looks like Soul Train will only come on Fridays and Saturdays (the Sat episode will be a repeat of Friday.)
Well, I'm disappointed. They have enough to play 2 episodes a day.

Oh, and ol' girl in the blue booty shorts would get pregnant with the quickness. lol

Slang, I'm not gonna really get her pregnant. Intense dancing on the dance floor.

That was such a damn-good episode. Luther had me shouting like I was in church. Especially when he sang "If This World Were Mine" and "Bad Boy". Man, I miss him.

Check your local cable or dish listing. In my area it's channel 481 Centric/CTRC.

I just caught the tail end of it beginning with Cheryl Lynn singing "Fantasy". I hope they re-air it so I can record it but they need to find a set time and advertise when the show is going to air so people can look for it.

It was great hearing "Do Something" by Goody again during the line dance. I had to pull my 45 out last night after hearing it.

I think the "new" shows air on Friday and repeat through the week. Here's the Centric schedule in my area/Dallas. Just adjust the time for your time zone.
CNTRC 280 Fri, Oct 16 6:00 PM Soul Train
CNTRC 280 Sat, Oct 17 11:00 AM Soul Train
CNTRC 280 Sat, Oct 17 5:00 PM Soul Train

Aha, thanks lol. Naw, the "Alligator Woman" album was officially released around 1982, and "Style" was released around 1983.
But that ep which you saw could possibly have some performances from their 1981-album , "Knights Of The Soundtable" cool

It's Central time. I watched it last night. It was an extremely old episode with The Honeycombs, Eddie Kendricks, and Gladys Knight and The Pips.

Y'all need to check this one out because Don Cornelius's outfit alone will trip you out. Every time I've ever seen Don, he's always dressed fairly conservative. Well, not on this one. He had on a turquoise trench coat with, get this...turquoise shorts and some kind of turquoise patterned boots. He looked a MESS! falloff

I caught the last 7 minutes of the show. What the heck was Don Cornelius wearing?? lol lol The turquoise shoots and booths looked like something out of a Superfly movie!lol Back then, that outfit wouldn't have made anyone looked twice, since those were the days of the maxi coats . I was also checking out all the afro hairdos on the dancers on that shoe. The afros were the "in-thing" at the time, and no problem going natural.

Not to mention the half dashiki shirts and blouses the men and women were wearing. The hercules tie-up to the knees sandals were a hot item back then for women. I swear Soul Train was a fashion show in and of itself and it didn't even know it.

Anyway between 3pm to 7 pm today, (10/17) the Centric channel are basically having a soul train marathon of some repeated shows, from last week and this week. I'm going to have fun watching these shows. I remember when orger "the Audience" used to keep us well informed of every episode shown weekly. Haven't seen him around lately, so I guess some of you are keeping up the tradition of the soul train shows. I'm loving it. biggrin
