Pretty disappointing. I should have known Sony wouldn't put out a fitting two disc set. Last time they did that was in 95, and Michael was alive to oversee it. How disappointing. This soundtrack could have been something AMAZING for the fans and for the casual listener. Yet again the die-hard fans get shafted for another reissue.

I was hoping it would have live versions as well, but I pre ordered it anyway. shrug

i thought it was live too. or at least demos of the songs confused

I did also and I'm canceling my order. I'm not paying for this mess. I love Michael as much as the next die-hard MJ drone, but THIS IS IT for me with the Sony remastering BS. I've had enough of it. I'll wait for the DVD and download "This Is It" and "Planet Earth" on iTunes. As for the demos, they will leak in high quality soon enough.
[Edited 10/9/09 10:33am]

Exactly. They keep putting the same songs on every cd. As far as "This Is It", I really hope it's the original 1980 version, and we'll just download the demos.

You won't be able to. It looks like Sony is giving the This Is It song the "album only" option where you have to buy the whole album on iTunes to get the single

I'm buying a physical copy for

1. The demos
2. The 2 versions of This Is It
3. The booklet and poster
4. I want to help MJ get another #1 album

Horrible....

I have had enough from those ridiculous repetitive re-releases and I’m not buying this complete utter Crap, I already have all the songs and I’m not going to buy it for one new song , that’s ridiculous, they do not realize that the fans have all this shit?

All what we want is few new unreleased songs so it can be worth it to buy it ….

1-I ‘m not buying this
2-Im downloading the this is it song
3-Im downloading the demos

Which means they will never get a single dime from my money, pathetic losers….

When an album full of new material released I will be the first one to buy it, I’m not touching this album…….lol

A Toy interview on how Paris told her they worked Daddy too hard killing him and on how Mike always kept saying if anything happened to him it was because he was murdered.....interesting...

Sony sucks! But I want the 36-page booklet and poster. Therefore,
I'll buy the 2-disc set either the first week it goes on sale at a discounted price, or at a subsequent time from a used CD store.

The very first performance of Dangerous. A different version. I love it.

I love how the audience just jumps up at the end.

True. I can´t wait to hear the investigation results.

You might want to pick up the new issue of NME magazine. In it, Jay-Z pays tribute to the legend Michael Jackson, even revealing that Jigga collaborated with Jackson multiple times, something that was until now unknown. According to Jay-Z, Michael sang on “Girls, Girls, Girls,” a track from the original “Blueprint” album. “He was on my song ‘Girls, Girls, Girls’, singing these background vocals and I didn’t even put his name on it,” Jay wrote. HOV apparently teamed up with the King Of Pop on “You Rock My World” too plus brought him on stage during his 2001 Summer Jam performance. “He played a concert with me in New York, which was great,” Jay continued. “He got up and he walked out and the place went mental, guys were just grabbing their hats and throwing them like, ‘Aiiiiieeeee!’”

I'm guessing Michael did the sped up "naaah baby" vocals in the background

Hmmm...I wonder why Jay Z said MJ did background vocals .. Because Q-Tip, Biz Markie and Slick Rick do the backgrounds ..

I don't know either. Jay was smoking weed too much when he said that, lol. I don't hear MJ at all unless he's talking about the very beginning where a voice is echoing before Tom Brock's sample plays.

The defining moment of the summer for Lee was hearing that Michael Jackson had died. Lee made the music video to Jackson's controversial 1996 tune, "They Don't Care About Us", and was bewildered on hearing the news. "I was in Cannes, for a conference, and I just happened to turn on CNN. I didn't go to bed that night, I just kept on the TV. It was a big, big loss." Lee responded by hosting a dance party on what would have been Jackson's 51st birthday in Brooklyn's Prospect Park last month.

sad

This films from the soul it will be i think as good as the doc on New Orleans
