Of my God are u ppl seriously gettin excited about "one new" track on a double fuckin album...repeated twice !!! are these guys serious!!!!! WHAT THE FUCK. I will not buy this this....
Any one with half a brain would assume this would have a been "a live album of some sort". Come on Im a massive MJ fan but this is tooooo much, only a complete muppett would buy this....and as far as hearing a new album anytime soon we can forget about that as that would be flooding his market...
If I wanted another greatest hits with crap remixes which had nothing to do with Michael I would just listin to any of the 3 or 4 albums i was tick enough to buy...

I'm buying it because I want to hear the song. Two versions of the same song? SHOCK HORROR, it's been done before, not a big deal.

If you don't like it, aren't interested in the material, don't buy it. I've skipped on other MJ releases, but this one interests me.

Yes, it's been verified that the second disc will contain previously unheard versions of his best-known songs.

By previously unheard, I sure hope they mean alternate vocal takes and demos, and not the same song with a new beat to it and tellin us "u aint heard this before!" ..

This is a record company we're talking about. It could mean that it is a different mix of a song that went previously unreleased. It could also mean it is some of the performance mixes of some of his songs (with the added effects).

I've gotten suckered in by this "unreleased" marketing before (Crystal Ball anyone?) and you get some re-edited re-release of the same songs.

We'll probably get things like Starlight and the early version of Smooth Criminal. Which is cool, I've wanted to hear both for a long time. You can get a snippet or crappy version of Starlight on Youtube, but I want the real deal.

Michael Sembello had "Carousel" on his website. It was longer than the version on the special edition of Thriller.

Read this entire article from the L.A. Times back in May 2009.

It's lengthy but eye-opening.

Jackson was being publicly treated as a cash-cow, months before his death. Nobody had his best interests at heart.

Wow, that article paints a different picture. It also makes me think that LaToya and Jermaine's conspiracy may be true. It sounds like he owed too many people and the most financially lucrative deal was to kill him and have Conrad take the fall.

Call me crazy, but with how Thriller funky is, keeping it as Starlight could have made it more of a funk/rhythmic classic from the 80's. I like Thriller and all, but its need hearing it without all the supernatural stuff and hearing it just with normal lyrics.

looking at the songs they're gonna use in the theatrical version....

01. Smooth Criminal (original demo recorded in 1985)
02. Human Nature
03. I Want You Back
04. Man in the Mirror
05. Billie Jean (original demo recorded in 1981, Michael recorded several demos)
06. Speechless
07. They Don't Care About Us (demo done in 1990 or 1991)
08. Who Is It (recorded aroun 1989 or 1990, the original version of the song clocked in at almost 8 minutes)
09. Bad (the original demo recorded in 1985 or 1986)
10. Earth Song (original version from 1989)
11. Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' (original demo recorded in either 1978 or 1979, several demos recorded)
12. I'll Be There
13. This Is It (alternate version originally done in 1980)
14. Jam (several mixes done in 1990)
15. Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough (original demo done in 1978)
16. Beat It (original demo recorded in 1981 or 1982, several mixes recorded)
17. The Way You Make Me Feel (orignal version "Hot Fever" recorded in 1985)
18. Thriller (original versions including "Starlight)
19. Black or White (original demo from Bad sessions)
20. HIStory
21. Threatened
22. Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground) (original demo "Shake A Body")
23. I Just Can't Stop Loving You
24. The Love You Save

too bad they won't include Dirty Diana in the movie, then maybe we would've gotten the original 1983 demo mad

No, we don't know what songs are going to be included on the 2nd disc. The only thing we know is:

1. It has This Is It
2. It has Planet Earth
3. One way or the other, it's going to have Billie Jean, Beat It, and Man In The Mirror lol
