SONGS you like the VIDEO versions better than the ALBUM version

was in the JANET JACKSON RYTHM NATION appreciation thread. I recently listened to the cd and i foudn that i didnt particularly like the orginal mixes cuz i preferred the video mixes of those songs. and thats true for CONTROL as well. do you know if they offically released those?

But anyway,

is there any other songs that you prefer the video mix to?

THRILLER of course is the main one lol

There's so many, but Aaliyah came to mind when I saw this. Her video for "At Your Best" was a remix, but it through me off when I bought the album because I was hoping it had the video version on it. Other songs from her are songs like "The One I Gave My Heart To" and "Hot Like Fire"

MJ - Remember The Time ... love the original version, but when the music drops out in the video for the acapella dancing, I swoon.

I wanna say that "In The Closet" video version has little differences and I'm not sure I ever owned a copy of that exact video version

That's a tight list cool

I don't know where to find the exact audio for PE's video, I have the single and it's not on there.

Coldcut's remix to "Paid In Full" has got to be one of the most essential remixes of all time.

"Stronger".... I can't even remember what is different about the video version... but Kanye is always tweaking his tracks.

"Raspberry Beret" - yes! WITH THE COUGH! I have the 12" and that version is also on the double disc compilation Ultimate Prince

"Murder Was The Case" had a very relevent remix as well. I think that remix version is the one DJ Premier scratched on "D'Evils" by Jay-Z

when they shoehorn in "Pleasure Principle", a sped-up "Go Deep", and something that sounds like Shannon's "Let The Music Play"? lol

"Thriller" definately but one case that really sticks out is Dead Or Alive's "Brand New Lover". I much prefer that short intro to the long dragged out one that I've found on album and single versions. Can the video version of that song be found? Also, The Blow Monkey's "Digging Your Scene". For some reason, on compilations they play a really crappy edited version of the song without a lot of the backgrounds (and it cuts out the line "It's God's Revenge"...lighten up!).
