That gal is as overrated and undertalented as Britney Spears, at best.

One of the best artists of the last 25 years, no question. I've seen her live a bunch of times and she is always amazing, and she keeps churning out great album after great album. Abnormally Attracted to Sin is one of the most overlooked albums of the year, for sure.

Well said. I would even add "genius" without blinking an eye.
However, I agree about Abnormally Attracted to Sin..It has been overlooked, especially by me boxed
I need to fix that. It's time to pull it out, dust it off and give it a fair listen!

I listened to it religiously for weeks after it came out. I've given it a little break but will definitely come back to it. Very strong album, IMHO. Some great songwriting and production.

Flavor and Curtain Call are my 2 faves I think.

Lady In Blue and Strong Black Vine are not just album highlights, but career highlights if you ask me.

I was very disappointed with ADP, but AATS has re-stored my faith in Tori.

i'm still going to have to sit down with her last 3 albums
this winter to see what i can make of them.

she kind of lost me with Scarlet's Walk, although i've got
to say that i love most of that one by now.

everything that came after Scarlet though, i have a very,
very hard time even listening to without skipping all of
the tracks right down to the last one.
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I've enjoyed the last 2 albums, but they are not on par with her best work IMHO.

But Abnormally Attracted to Sin is a huge upward leap, at least in my view. Its definitely worth checking out.

lol

In serious though, I've tried to get into Tori (bought a couple albums) but I couldn't get over her third rate Kate act to take her serious. That's my personal experience and I'm sticking to it. lol

I grew up on Kate, I don't really see why the comparisons confuse

I don't know what albums you got which gave you that impression... but it's a mis-guided one I assure you.

Tori's style is nothing like Kate's. The only people who make comparisons are those who don't really know boths artists work.

Yup, exactly right. Their music couldn't be more different, stylistically and thematically. I adore them both - they are among my favorite artists - and I find the comparisons between them generally very lazy. Yeah, they are both female, yeah they both write and record music that is a bit off the wall, and yeah there are moments where Tori's vocals can sound similar to Kate. That's where the similarities end, at a very superficial level.

You lost all respect when you decided to start name calling like a 3rd grader.

I bet I wouldn't be over opinionated if I thought this hag had any amount of talent in her, thereby agreeing with you, huh? Let the hypocrisy flow...

It's hard to see your point of view. I don't know what U consider talent. Even if U don't like Tori Amos, I don't see how U can call her untalented. And comparing her to Britney Spears makes U an idiot!
