janet. - "if"

Probably one the sexiest songs ever written!! oral boff tonk

Sittin' over here
Starin' in your face
With lust in my eyes
Sure don't give a damn and
Ya don't know
That I've been dreamin' of ya in my fantasy
Never once you looked at me,
Don't even realize that I'm wantin' you
To fulfill my needs
Think what you want
Let your mind free
Run free to a place that no one dares to

How many nights I've laid in bed excited over you
I've closed my eyes and thought of us,
A hundred different ways
I've gotten there so many times
I wonder how 'bout you
Day and night, night and day
All I've got to say is

Chorus:
If I was your girl...
Oh the things I'll do to you
I'd make you call out my name
I'd ask who it belongs to
If I was your woman,
The things I'd do to you
But I'm not, so I can't,
Then I won't
But, if I was your girl

Allow me some time to play with your mind
And you'll get there again and again
Close your eyes and imagine my body undressed
Take your time, we've got all night
You on the rise as you're touchin' my thighs
And let me know what you like
If you like, I'll go down
Da down down down da down down
I'll hold you in my hand and baby

Your smooth and shiny feels so good against my lips, sugar
I want you so bad I can taste your love
Right now, baby
Day and night, night and day
All I've got to say is

Chours (x2)

I've laid in bed excited over you
One hundred different ways I've thought of
Many, Maaaaannnnny
All I want to say is

(Chours til end)

One of my absolute favorites from her. I had to hip my friend to the lyrics because her 10 and 13 year old girls were singing this song and she thought it was clean because it was Janet. lol Think again.

I remember Janet saying to Bill Bellamy on MTV that this was her favorite track from the album because the verses are sung like a chant. And I agree.

This remains my all time favorite Janet song AND video. headbang Just hot all around, the choreography, costumes, hair, the vocal arrangement and bridge. One of the main reasons why the Janet album is one of my favorite of hers.

Love everything about "if".

"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don“t like the idea that he could have it all."

Not a mega-Janet fan like folks on the org, but that is one of my fave songs of hers. I've never gotten tired of hearing it...like the video as well.

That "smooth and shiny feels so good against my lips" line is the best.

One of Janet's better videos definitely.

janet looked AMAZING love I mean she was the sexiest female entertainer out there.

I believe no female singer/entertainer could compare to janet during this time. Cause she had that beautiful baby face, that amazing body, and that sexiness about her, it wasn't in your face. She didn't have to prance around in tiny dresses/leotards/hot pants. She was wearing baggy pants and a t-shirt, and looked so amazing.

IF is just so iconic. The video is before its time and the dancing is out this world.

I love this song, i have the single and would listen to all the remixes. lol lol lol

hamster I LOVE YOU MICHAEL JACKSON

IMO, it's Janet at her best, even better than "Rhythm Nation".
