ITV doc promises unseen Jacko footage

UK terrestrial ITV1 is lining up a documentary on Michael Jackson, which promises previously unseen home video footage of the singer from his friend Uri Geller's private archive.

My Friend Michael Jackson: Uri's Story sad has been produced by ITV Studios and is being distributed by ITV Global Entertainment. The film includes Jackson on a midnight shopping spree at London's Harrods department store, and visiting Exeter Football Club UK.

It also includes footage of him as best man at Geller's wedding, as well as Geller's recollection of his conversations with Jackson regarding some of the controversy that surrounded the star.

Alexander Gardiner, ITV Studios' controller of factual and features for Manchester and Leeds, said: "Documented through Uri's most intimate and personal video clips, My Friend Michael Jackson: Uri's Story is a unique and powerful piece of television about a truly fascinating musical icon, which I believe the millions of Michael Jackson fans around the world will be captivated by."

Geller added: "This is the real Michael Jackson, the way that just a handful of friends were privileged to see him - relaxed, witty, loving, smart, sincere and genuine. This film gives audiences around the world the opportunity to experience the reality of life with Michael."

The doc is produced by Lesley Gardiner, directed by Paula Lichtarowicz and executive produced by Alexander Gardiner.

Apparently, MJ's so called "secret son" is at the Jackson home!

http://www.thefablife.com...ecret-son/

While this rumor is apparently somewhat old, it was the first we’ve ever heard of Michael Jackson having a secret biological son. The kid in question is Omer Bhatti, who’s in his early twenties and hails from Norway. Omer has been close with the pop star since the mid-90s, when he began touring with the singer and living on and off at Neverland Ranch. While Jackson supposedly told people that Bhatti is his son (the result of a one-night-stand with a Norwegian fan), others claim they met after he wowed M.J. with an on-point impression of the singer as a kid. “I’m not surprised Michael says he’s the father,” a source told Fox News in 2004. “It’s a fantasy. But these people did not exist in Michael’s life before 1996.”

Omer is allegedly convinced that he is Jackson’s son and is desperate for a DNA test to prove it. He was spotted yesterday by photographers shopping for groceries before heading over to the Jackson family home, where Michael’s three kids currently reside. Going to visit his siblings, perhaps?

Check out the pics above of Omer - taken yesterday- and Michael, from when he was around 20 years old (and - we think - before plastic surgery). Do you see a resemblance?

And here he is when he was little:

He looks nothing like Michael at all in my opinion. Remember Michael from Off the Wall and Destiny era.

I see no resemblance. Look at how light his skin tone is. Puh-leeze. Not one single Jackson feature is evident.

He might just be close to the Jackson family.

Lets look at Jermaine's kids (The left two kids)

Are from Jermaine and Alejandra

Spike Lee Remembers Michael Jackson

July 2009

In 1996, Spike Lee — director of films from Do the Right Thing to Malcolm X to the recent documentary Kobe Doin' Work — traveled to Brazil with Michael Jackson to produce the music video for his controversial song "They Don't Care About Us." He talked to TIME about his experiences, Michael Jackson's legacy and having the Gloved One as a houseguest.

What's your favorite Michael Jackson song?

I was born in 1957; he was born in 1958. And so I grew up, literally, with Michael Jackson. We both reached adolescence at the same time. And I had a big Afro like he did, and I hoped that the girls would like me the way they liked Michael — but that wasn't happening. And you know, I loved him as a solo artist, but I have a special place in my heart for the stuff he did with the Jackson 5: "I'll Be There."

Do you remember the first time you heard it?

No. My memory's shot. I'm in Cannes, France, for a conference; I left dinner last night, got home, I turned on CNN and there it was — him being rushed to the hospital. I didn't go to bed the whole night. I just kept watching CNN. So it's a big, big, big, big loss for the world. And I'd like to make this comment: I've seen too many people talking about Michael like they knew exactly what he did. Let's celebrate his genius, his musicality, his gift, his talent, and leave the other stuff at least till he gets buried. Let's celebrate his life now. That's the way I feel.

I can hear Michael Jackson in the background right now.

Yeah, my friend is driving me to Monaco for dinner, and I went out to this store and bought Michael Jackson's greatest hits. So, as we got in the car I said, "This is our driving music!" Going from Cannes to Monaco, listening to the greatest hits of Michael.

What was he like when you worked with him on the video for "They Don't Care About Us?"

Michael was great. He had a sense of humor. He worked hard. People talk about how hard Kobe Bryant works; he didn't work harder than Michael Jackson. This is what I've come to learn. You know, I did a documentary on Kobe, I know him; Michael Jordan, I worked with him a little; Michael Jackson — when you love what you do that much, it's not work. So you can go longer and harder and faster and quicker because it's not a burden. You love what you're doing.

And did you talk to him on the set? Was he accessible?

Oh yeah! Michael was a citizen of the world. I said, "Mike, let's go to Brazil to do this." And he said, "Let's go, Spike!" And it's great when you work with people who say stuff like that — it's not a matter of budget. He wanted to do it? We were going!

Had you met him previous to that?

Yeah, I met him at dinners and stuff like that, but that was the most intimate time I had been with him. Can I tell you a quick story? Michael Jackson called me up and said, "Spike, I want meet you, I'm coming to New York." I said, "Well where you want to meet?" He says, "I want to come to your house." I live in Brooklyn! He wants to come to my house! So, Michael Jackson came to my house in Brooklyn, New York — this was when I was living in Fort Greene. And he said, I want you to direct a video for me. My new album's coming out, pick a song. So we listened to all the songs and I picked "Stranger in Moscow." And he said, I don't want you to do that one. And I said, "Michael, just tell me which one you want me to do! Why ask me to pick one?" And he laughed and he said he wanted me to do "They Don't Care About Us." That's how it happened.

How did he like Brooklyn?

Well, I dunno if he'd ever been there before. We spent like two or three hours just talking. I mean, we're the same age. I'm less than a year older than him. To be honest, I dominated the conversation, because I was trying to really tell him how much impact he had on my life. And I could just not believe that Michael Jackson was sitting in my living room in Brooklyn, New York. It was amazing.

I just want to get back quickly to "I'll Be There." What sort of associations did you have with that song? What did it mean to you?

I just remember being young, loving that song, starting to get interested in girls; it was just that period of time. And here's the thing that I remember: growing up, as far as girls, everybody didn't like Michael. They liked Tito, they liked Jackie, they liked Jermaine — it was like the Beatles, the girls had their favorites. It was not always Michael, Michael, Michael.

Was he always your favorite Jackson?

Oh yeah. But I wasn't a girl though.

Where's are his parents????

Here's what Roger Friedman said long time ago.

http://www.foxnews.com/st...27,00.html

In fact, my sources tell me it's not possible that Jackson is Bhatti's father, and that 1996 newspaper reports of Jackson's first meeting the family in front of a Tunis hotel are accurate.

One Jackson insider, who was with the singer when he met Bhatti, told me: "I met the mother and the boy with Michael. We were afraid she was stalking him in the hotel lobby. But then we met her, and the boy did his imitation of Michael."

Jackson, according to my sources, was so taken with the boy and his family that he "adopted" them. He immediately moved them from their native Norway — the father is Pakistani, the mother Norwegian — to Neverland.

Says another Jackson insider: "I'm not surprised Michael says he's the father. It's a fantasy. But these people did not exist in Michael's life before 1996."

Sources told me that the boy’s parents have long been on Jackson's payroll.

"Michael hired Omer's parents to work for him," say two of my sources. "The mother, Pia, became a nanny for Michael's son, Prince, when he was born a few months later. The father, Riz, became a driver for Michael."

Jackson Doc Says Bye to Cali

Posted Jul 17th 2009 2:00AM by TMZ Staff

Dr Conrad Murray Jackson DocDr. Conrad Murray has made himself scarce since speaking with the LAPD two days after Michael Jackson's death. We've learned the doctor has high-tailed it out of California, at least for now.

We're told he's in Houston, Texas -- where he has a medical practice -- waiting for the other shoe to drop. As for when that will happen ... our law enforcement sources say it appears to be just a matter of time.

Our sources say the evidence continues to mount ...as LAPD detectives continue what has become an exhaustive investigation. But, we're told the evidence has become clear -- the anesthesia Propofol was the primary cause of Jackson's death, and Dr. Murray is the man detectives believe administered it.

As we reported, the LAPD is treating Jackson's death as a homicide.

I won´t pretend I wouldn´t love to see a home movies of Mike, but since it´s URI STORY, I am scared, cause I don´t like this guy at all and it´s funny that it´s being released now, cause I am sure Mike wouldn´t not be happy about that if he were alive.
"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Van Halen Played on "Beat It" For Free
July 2009

Put this in the category of "this will never happen again in our lifetime," but I was amazed to find that Eddie Van Halen recorded the solo for Michael Jackson's "Beat It" for free.

The solo is a perfect example of the amazing nuance Van Halen can bring to a guitar part with what was, at that time, groundbreaking technique.

Steve Lukather (Toto, Boz Scaggs), a phenomenal guitarist in his own right, shared some great information about his and Van Halen's contributions to "Beat It."

From SteveLukather.net:

Rock guitarist Eddie Van Halen was interviewed by Rolling Stone magazine in 1984.

In the interview, he explained why he didn't ask for any royalties over the sales of Beat it, the song on which he plays a guitar solo. "I did it as a favor. I didn't want anything. Maybe Michael will give me dance lessons someday. I was a complete fool, according to the rest of the band [Van Halen], our manager and everybody else. I was not used. I knew what I was doing. I don't do something unless I want to do it."

Steve Lukather: "Quincy Jones and Michael took a skeleton version of Beat it up to Eddie Van Halen's place as they wanted him to solo over the verse section. However, he played over a section that had more chord changes. So to fit his solo to where it went in the song, they had to cut the tape which took a lot of time to synchronise together."

"After they had managed this, Jeff Porcaro and me were called in to bind Eddie's solo and some haphazard percussion which was a major headache. Initially, we rocked it out as Eddie had played a good solo but Quincy thought it too tough. So I had to reduce the distorted guitar sound and this is what was released. It was a huge R&B/rock success for us all really and helped pave the way for the bands of today that fuse these styles."
