I do like this song... however, I feel this is when she started to slip. The divorce, the wardrobe, the kittenish-breathy-cooing vocals, never being too far from a rapper's lap, scaling back the vocals....

she still had it in her, but this is the beginning of the end for her, I think.

Yes. I always say Glitter is my favourite Mariah album, but it truly is Glitter/Butterfly. I love both so much disbelief

love Fantasy. love ODB's part. not excited about the remix he appears on, though.

Ok, let me tell you about Honey, which holds a special place in my heart. I first got hooked on Mariah with Daydream - one of the first CD's I ever purchased. But, I didn't experience the era as a whole.

So, I got word that Honey was coming out - I knew the exact date it was going to be sent to radio. I listened to radio all fucking morning to hear its debut. lol I turned that shit up REAL loud. Then, I looked forward to the CD single release and purchased it on its first day in stores, devouring the remixes for weeks.

Then, the video came out. She was HOT then. cool

For some reason I can always distinctly remember walking into A&B Sound in Edmonton and picking up the CD single, like it happened today. I tell you, "Honey" was one of my favorite singles EVAH

It's not a remake of Honey - it's a remake of Fantasy.

I love "Butterfly" (the album), but "Honey" was my least-favorite Mariah lead-off single (that is, until "Loverboy" hit the airwaves). "My All" and "The Roof" are some of Mariah's best songs, and I even like her cover of "The Beautiful Ones" (no flames, please). But I didn't care for "Honey" (mostly because I don't like Diddy's production of the track and, for me, it didn't have the catchiness of her previous lead-off singles). "Heartbreaker," however, totally turned that around. I just wish I liked the rest of "Rainbow" as much as I like "Heartbreaker."

Best lead off single, best uptempo, and best MC video ever. How can you not love a song with like 3 different choruses? The end.
