That's a hard question to answer, as all of them are good to varying degrees.

Ultimately I guess I'd have to go with Very, although I don't listen to it as much as I used to because I think I wore it out.

I think Release is their most underrated album.

Some tracks I love on Release...esp. 'love is a catastrophe', which most fans seem to hate, but some of them I think are very weak, such as 'email' and 'london'..

the ridiculous video for 'home and dry' meant the song and album didn't get as much publicity as it should have done....

great that they are performing songs never or rarely performed before on the current tour....''two divided by zero'' segues into ''why cant we live together'

and the b-side ''do i have to'' segues into one of the best songs ever ''kings cross''....saw them last week in London...and the setlist was a fan's dream come true !

I know it's not a fan favorite, but Nightlife is the one I go to most often. I like the way it tells a story and it has a nice of mix of uptempo stuff and ballads.

yep...love that one too....'in denial' should have been a single.... sad this was at the time of Kylie's big comeback and would have been a big hit...she even performed it in one of her recent tours biggrin

My favorite albums would be.....Please, Very and Bilingual. So between them i guess i would choose Very. I can listen to every track on that album. Looking forward to seeing them here in the States come September. Watched a few clips on Youtube and am really looking forward to seeing them. Love the set design. Concrete tour was my first time seeing them.

"Nightlife" is pretty great.

I'm going through a huge PSB phase. If I had to pick out a favorite album now, even though I've been going back to nearly all their older ones, it might be "Yes". It's so strong sounding and has great hooks. "Very" might be second with "Actually", "Bilingual" and "Behavior" in the mix.

"Yes" has really grown on me, but i'm frustrated that the best song (IMHO) - "This Used to be the Future" - wasn't on the main album.

It should have been the first single!! The combination of the PSB sound with Phil Oakey is classic.

I think Behaviour and Very are their two best ones, with Release being their most underrated.

Oooooh, that's a toughie... but I think I'd have to go with 'Behaviour'. Apart from the fact it was the album that got me into the PSBs, it's just a beautiful, wonderful, heartbreaking album. EVERY single track is amazing. cloud9

Oops, you're right. That's my fave. Please comes second.

Beahviour is such a beautiful album. To Face The Truth (it was writen in 1983) is such a sad, sad, SAD and beautiful song.

Anf whenever I feel heartbreak I turn on "The End Of The World", with the beautiful message: "it's just a boy or a girl, it's not the end of the world"

You wouldn't get those songs from their PopArt album.

I also like their tracks for Liza Minelli, especially "Just' Can't Say Goodbye"...

I didn't realise that was written in '83!?! eek

'Being Boring', of course, is just AMAZING - but I also adore 'My October Symphony' and 'Only The Wind'. It's a classic album. I think my other favourites would be 'Bilingual' - which divides a lot of fans - and 'Nightlife'. Oh, and 'Alternative'. The only album I've ever struggled with was/is 'Release'.

As for their collaborations, I love them! The Liza album ('Don't Drop Bombs', 'So Sorry, I Said'), Dusty (which has one of my all-time Top Ten songs 'Nothing Has Been Proved'), Boy George ('The Crying Game')... so many. I still have my fingers crossed that they will hook up with Diana Ross and give us the ultra-camp-pop-dance album that I know she stll has in her. lol cloud9

neither of the boys did co-write The Crying Game

You're right, October Symphony is another fave, especially the live version NOT sung by Neil.
"Wind" is amazing, I have the sheet music to the whole book!

A lot of PSb songs were written quite early.

It's A Sin - 1982
To Speak Is A Sin - the same day
I Want To Wake Up - lyrics done in the late 70s
Jealousy - 1981
If Looks Could Kill 1983
One More Chance - 1984

well, you gotta read the interviews on the further listening CDs.

Also check out the unreeased songs like Oh Dear, Bubadubadubadubadum (or sth like that) In The Club Or In The Queque

Yeah, I know wink - but I love their collaboration with Boy George. I like the version they produced, even though they didn't write it. wink

I have all the PSBs' albums - regular and expanded versions - and it's been some time since I listened to them. I've never picked up any of their bootlegs, though... hmmm

on the 2001 remasters, they big booklets Neil (and sometimes Chris) comment on each track. Since Neil is quite talkative and has a great memory he recalls every detail of the songs.

Yeah, that's about right.
• Did you first think Prince was gay? •

Wendy: He’s a girl, for sure, but he’s not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman. Lisa: Totally. He’s like a fancy lesbian.

And Chris makes some off handed quips that are funny (including saying that the reprise of "Opportunities" is the best track on "Please"). Unfornately, they're very expensive because they are out of print. I think I got them right before they went OPP.

YEAH! He's got such a sarcastic humor. He's great. He doesn't speak much, but when he speaks, he mostly says something funny.
