He got started in 1984 but I think he controlled his dosages back then. Hell he was abusing his body anyways by not eating every Sundays and fasting. He had to be rushed to a hospital in 1990 for chest pains because of it. He didn't get addicted until the first allegations in 1993. That's when the "change" in him started and he never fully came back.

If he got started in 1984--which would make sense in light of burn aftermath--it's a wonder that things weren't worse sooner. I don't mean that lightly but that's over 20 years of abuse. I don't think fasting is unhealthy especially one day a week but depending on what he was doing the other days and how he treated his body in general it could be trouble.

In the early days I used to think Michael was really into health but that began to fall off the more I saw and heard. He had the info but never really treated himself well or stuck with anything.

He's been dead a long time for now. He only died physically last week.

OK Magazine and Dead Michael Jackson on Cover
Jul 02, 2009 | Comments 0

It looks as though OK magazine could well be in a bit of trouble after they apparently printed a photo of Michael Jackson’s dead body on the cover of their magazine, according to inquisitr.com. And, what makes it worse is that reports have said they supposedly paid $500,000 for it.

Ever since the news came out about Michael’s untimely death, reports and rumors have been heavy in the press. Some of the reports have even upset many of his fans, who are still in the grieving process for their idol. I’m sure they will be even more so at this latest report.

All of Michael Jackson’s family and friends are said to be outraged by the OK magazine cover, which is understandable. There is even a report that is currently unconfirmed, that one of Michael’s relatives has apparently lodged a petition in court to have the magazine sale stopped.

.....

Like a number of magazines in the past I have added Ok magazine to the list of magazines never to by again ..sick sad

http://hiphopwired.com/20...e-50-cent/

A Nobel Peace Prize should be given to the late King of Pop for his valiant attempt to forge a peaceful co-existence between the new King of the West Coast and the G-Unit General. Reflecting on the recent passing of Jackson, The Game spoke on "The Gloved Ones" attempt to mediate and end the 2005 feud with then former G-Unit member and boss, 50 Cent.

Speaking with MTV, The Game said, "I was on tour in Canada, sitting in my room, cutting my hair. I was messing my hair up. Then my road manager knocks on my door. Boom, boom, boom. He told me, I got MJ on the phone. I ran and snatched up the phone." The two stars spoke on various topics, including his children, Jackson’s love of his single 'Hate or Love It,' saving the touchiest topic of that day for last.

He said, ‘I don’t know how you’re gonna feel about this, but I want to ask you something. I don’t want you to judge me, but I don’t really know everything that’s going on between you and 50. But I want to be the middleman behind you putting this situation to bed,’ said the West Coast lyricist.

It was Jackson’s wish to facilitate a mediation session between the two musical titans, all in the hope that they would be able to put their differences behind them for the greater good; an act that would present itself as a positive example to the young and impressionable fans of both artists. He hoped showing them how to resolve conflict, could potentially change the cultural face of Hip-Hop culture.

The Game and 50 eventually found a way to co-exist peacefully but the impact of their agreement lacked the significance that it would have had if the King of Pop was involved. Plans for a collaboration between the three artists were on the drawing board, but due to the tragic passing of Jackson, never manifested.
I swear the words "HATER" is wayyy over-rated...smh

Custody Of Jackson Children May Be Marred By Bankruptcy Filing

By Melanie Cohen

Things may not go as easy as 1-2-3 for the mother of late pop icon Michael Jackson, whose will is reportedly said to leave custody of his children to his mother.

According to the Associated Press (via the Morning Call), Jackson’s will was to be filed in Los Angeles on Wednesday, and a person with knowledge about the document said it gives custody of Jackson’s three children to his mother. But trying to gain final custody may not be a thriller, because Katherine and Joe Jackson filed for bankruptcy protection in 1999.

Experts say Jackson’s parents’ personal bankruptcy could work against Katherine Jackson getting control over her son’s children and estate in the long run. According to court documents, the Jacksons entered Chapter 7 protection listing almost $24 million in debts. RadarOnline reported that the Jacksons owed more than $34,000 on a 1994 Mercedes, more than $60,000 on a 1998 Land Rover and more than $36,000 on a Land Rover Discovery. They also owed about $150,000 in income taxes to the state of California and the IRS, and they owed more than $20 million in two lawsuit judgments. The bankruptcy ended in March 2007.

Beth Kaufman, a Washington attorney who deals with estate tax issues, told the AP that the bankruptcy filing may hurt Katherine Jackson’s attempt to gain final custody. “I think it would be a negative factor but not necessarily a disqualifier,” she said. “It could indicate that she is not capable of sound financial management.”

On Monday, Katherine Jackson was granted temporary custody of her son’s children by Judge Mitchell Beckloff as a response to documents by the Jackson family saying Michael Jackson died without a valid will. Beckloff also gave her temporary guardianship over her son’s personal property.

----
Sounds like Michael's parents were just as clueless with finances as he was, probably more so than him.
[Edited 7/1/09 14:06pm]

Mercedes? Land Rover? Awful expensive taste for a couple coming from such a humble background as Jackson Street in Gary Indiana. Especially a couple that never earned a penny of the money themselves! Any money they had they took from those kids!

All this talk about K and J being separated. Legally it's just that, a separation. If a divorce was never finalized, then putting K in charge of MJ's estate is the same as handing it over to Joe. mad

The "If you love me" part is the point. Did he or did that kid, who was sitting right next to Michael Jackson say that? Yes. Does that sound like similar behavior to what Jordan Chandler reported when he said Michael cried and said he must doesn't love him as much as his other friends. After french kissing him. Llets not start with that guy from london who claimed mike jacked off on the phone with him, that guy is 100% credible and I believe him. The fact is Mike had a major flaw in that aspect, his confusion about his sexuality did hurt kids and made him engage in illegal actions.

Can you really imagine MJ masturbating?

Mick Hucknall shares my sentiments.....

-----

SIMPLY Red star Mick Hucknall said he found it difficult paying tribute to Jacko because of the child abuse allegations.

Mick, 49, said: "I have to say that Michael Jackson was an extraordinary artist, a phenomenal dancer, a truly great singer."

He added: "I can only say that the one side that I have a little difficulty with is firstly as a father, and secondly as someone who was a friend of a father of a boy called Jordy Chandler.

His father was actually my dentist and a friend of mine, and that makes it rather difficult for me to expand on anything else.

"This time I'll show enough respect to respect his memory as an artist and say no more about him."

Jordy Chandler was 13 when he accused Jackson in 1993 of molesting him.

The star settled out of court with the Chandler family the following year for £13million.

Your obsession with me has always given me a chuckle in the past, but it seems to be getting worse as time goes by. Name calling now? You make a post just to call someone a childish name? Save yourself the effort, dude.

Mick Hucknall is just gently and tactfully expressing how quite a few clear-headed people feel. Why do you think President Obama has made no direct statement about such a huge incident? The White House issued a perfunctory written statement, yet when Bob Hope died a few years ago, George Bush went on TV from the Oval Office and delivered a personal eulogy. There's been nothing like that for MJ. Why do you think that is? Not all of us can brush aside paedophilia as easy as you.

I quoted Mick Hucknall and made only a short comment myself precisely because I didn't want to have a big argument. I'm aware that MJ fans are emotional right now so I've tried not to insult anyone, but looking at how you and a few of your colleagues have insulted me, you may leave me with no choice but to launch a truth attack very soon. I don't want to do that, so I'd advise you to moderate yourself from now on, otherwise I'll have to conclude that you want to see the truth bombs fly.

You don’t have to tell me. I haven’t recognized Michael for years (and I don’t mean his face) which is why I wasn’t falling over his every move and I fandom was criticized for that! What I was seeing and hearing didn’t sit well with me but people just wanted new music, front row seats and a hug from Michael, etc. Things weren't okay but he’d been demonized for so long the natural response was to defend him but at all costs? I still say where there's smoke there's fire.

Jermaine Jackson: 'The World Wasn't Ready for Michael'

With tears in his eyes, Michael Jackson's older brother Jermaine described Thursday how he had learned of his brother's death on June 25.

After getting a tip from a friend, Jermaine spoke to his mother, Katherine, he told Today's Matt Lauer in an interview at his brother's Neverland ranch in Los Olivos, Calif. "She was crying, saying he was dead. And to hear my mother saying Michael is dead, to feel and hear the tone of her voice to say her child is dead ... It's nothing that anyone can ever imagine."

Jermaine said he rushed to the hospital and, after consoling his mother, went to his deceased brother's side. "I wanted to see Michael, and I wanted to see my brother, and seeing him lifeless and breathless was very emotional for me," he says.

"I held myself together, because I know he is very much alive, his spirit is," says Jermaine. "I kissed him on his forehead and I hugged him and I touched him and I said, 'Michael, I'll never leave you, you'll never leave me."

Cause of Death
Jermaine says the family has been deeply hurt by speculation that an overdose of prescription drugs may have caused Jackson's death in the absence of hard evidence from an autopsy. "For people to come forward to say things they don't have the facts [to back up] is very damaging for the family, to me, to us. Because we don't know."

Jermaine, who pointed out that his brother had recently had a physical, said the family would be "hurt" if an autopsy pointed to drugs in the end "because Michael has always been a person who was against anything like that. I really don't know."

With emotion choking his voice, Jermaine revealed that the singer's three children – Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11, and Blanket, 7 – were led to a hospital room in Los Angeles for a last look at their deceased father. "[The family] thought it was important for them to see," said Jermaine, who admitted he was initially against the idea. "Now they are fine. I think it was the best thing to do ... if you don't show them, what do [they] see?"

Family Strength
Asked whether the family's 79-year-old matriarch, Katherine Jackson, would make a suitable guardian for the star's three children, as stipulated in Jackson's will, Jermaine was adamant.

"She's capable, she's up for it," Jermaine said of his mother, who raised the eight Jackson siblings. "She's with the grandchildren all the time ... She'd have someone with her to make sure she's doing the right things," he said. "My mother is the perfect person to be with them."

As the Today show cameras panned across the green landscape of Jackson's 2800-acre property near Santa Barbara, Jermaine said it was the family's hope that he would be buried there. "This is his home, i feel his presence here," Jermaine told Lauer. "He built this place with love, you can see it and feel it. Look at it here, it's peaceful here."

Lauer reported that the main house, emptied of furniture after Jackson's 2005 acquital on child abuse charges, will once again be filled with the star's belongings. "This meant wonderment, the ultimate happiness," said Jermaine, describing what Michael thought of Neverland.
