Even tho this is coming from a British tabloid, I do kind of wonder if he actually said that--I find it hard to believe that he would actually tell his fans something like that, but with Michael you never know. The fact that this time they are actually quoting his (alleged) words over their usual tired and dubious "a source said" makes me wonder too---If they are totally making this up Michael should definitely do something about this story and speak out against it. Heck, he should probably speak out against it even if it is true because right now I'm seeing all kinds of headlines: "Michael Unsure if he can Perform..." "Michael Too Thin to Perform all 50 O2 shows", "Michael Too Skinny to Moonwalk" and so on... confused

I always get the impression that Michael is being forced to do this whole tour, b/c he has to take care of certain financial matters that have no way of getting fixed unless, he goes on tour and makes money.

At the same, he wants to show his children what Michael Jackson was all about back in the day.

I think he imagined doing a few big shows...kids get to see him, get some $$ and call it a day, again. Especially for someone who isn't used to having to follow a routine schedule, it's hard to get in that groove and keep it going for a relatively long period of time. He'll have people constantly telling him where to go and what to do for the next year or more. I don't think he'll like that much.

It also makes MJ looks better as whole if he originally wanted 10 shows. The fact that 50 shows were booked pretty much created the whole mess over rescheduling some of the shows. With 10 shows, they could have made more adjustments easily in the scheduling if a concert happened to get rescheduled due to certain issues. They could have also had a lot more rehearsal time b/c they could have set those 10 concert up at any point late July, Early August, whenever.

And MJ wanting to go on tour to different cities instead of doing all 50 in one place- that's what I was saying before too. Who the hell does 50 shows in one city?? It would get awfully boring after awhile, and then the dude is going to be staying at some country-side rental home, like a prisoner for a year. I imagine it'll be tough to go outside and take a walk when MJ fans are going to be wanting to get a hold of him.

I find it utterly ridiculous to comment on those silly things, there are pretty much more important things in life other than criticizing someone for a fucking T-shirt, Its a fucking T-shirt for god's sake, I don't mind if you criticize as you always do of course, but there are times to do so, I find your joke really childish , silly and most of all .."tired"

michael jackson is the "king of pop", pop music is disposable, but commercial and popular, just like tabloid newspapers, the only newspapers to give any column space to MJ apart from during his child abuse cases. the "proper" newspapers and critics don't give two fucks about him as he hasn't released anything in almost a decade, and toured in longer. MJ and tabloids go hand in hand, it's the prefect marriage

leno thanked MJ on his final night as his stories make great comedy. the world laughs at him. you need to consider your perspective on things, we can all take the piss out of prince and laugh at him on his own fan forum, everyone else is also fair game. if you can't have a laugh at michael jackson and all the ridiculous things he does, and all the stories written about him, then maybe you have some issues you should reflect on

not really sure on this one but Michael hates to tour. I highly doubt he would want to do it again. Besides it's a residency and I highly doubt that he will come to the U.S., hasn't in 20 years or everywhere else. London is the last stop in my opinion.

I think it's worrisome that Randy Phillips said MJ hasn't yet found a residence that meets his approval. So if they can't find something private and fairly quickly, he'll be holed up in some hotel where it'll be easier for the fans to congregate and box him in even more.

Its not about reuniting, its about the concert.

And how do you know what Michael's plans are???

Like anyone knew he was going to do 50 shows at the O2. At one point, that was totally a dream too and unrealistic, but guess what? That happened.

Anything is possible.

So you're seriously suggesting people over a certain age can't sing? What age would that be?

Prince is 50 too, ya know. And I'm sure there are at least a few other people on the planet who can sing quite well at 50 and older.

You're right on that last point !

But this has nothin' to do with what I wrote.
Read again all that I wrote before not only this sentence outside its context...

Anyway I'm going to bring some precision.
I repeat once again (even if you don't want to hear it):
"Michael Jackson cannot sing any more live... some of his songs"

Why?

Because the technique of singing (very special) which he used (being grown-up) after his voice moulted to give the illusion that he was always a small teenager, damaged his voice for ever.

Vocal cords are very fragile organs... if one do not use them with precaution they get damaged and it can sometimes be irreversible... & here that's the case.

Can be that you know it, the singer is as a very competitive high-level sportsman... when he's young the more he will take care of his athlete's body and the more he can have a practice and be successful for a long time... so well settled he does not forget to take care of his athlete's body (the opera singers are the best example for that.)

Last one important thing:

There's no single singer around the world of more than 50 years old capable of singing P.Y.T, The way you make me feel, Scream or Unbreakable live (Sorry but that it pleases you or not ) including Michael !

C'est la vie !

Yeah,by now, there should be a rumored setlist.I can't believe that there are no "leaks" from the rehearsals, about what songs are being rehearsed/considered.This is the type of stuff I like to see....

Last weekend, while rehearsing "Enjoy Yourself",Michael decided to scrap that song and replace it with "Can You Feel It".He's still trying to decide if "Wanna Be Startin Something" should open the show.Meanwhile, the acoustic version of "Human Nature" will include a few new lyrics,in one segment....

So with a new MJ thread, I was hoping we could keep things on topic.

Not so huh?

Why is it we can't discuss the music, the up coming tour and other ventures without being defensive, divisive, or attack each other if we have a different point of view.

As for the posting of positive and negative news reports, and for that matter factual and rumoured news reports, I'm all for having things posted when the source is attached. Most of us can see when a story has a hint of truth and when it's just pure speculation and tabloid filler.

So guys can we just chill with the sniping and focus on discussing the issues at hand with the tour and with past and future recordings.

Oh and Unique, whilst I respect your right to post stories found on the web that you find negative because you feel the "fans" bury their heads in the sand and ignore them, if you are going to do this please be authentic with the pics you attach to them and don't just post pics that aim to ridicule or enflame.

As you stated in your post Reply #820 posted 05/24/09 2:01am "it's difficult to have an enlightening discussion on a subject if people can't be open and honest about it."

If you follow the thread closely (or any Mj thread on here )you would find that Mj's haters who really obsessed with MJ more than his fanatic fans are the ones who turn his threads to shit, Its has nothing to do with MJ fans.

The UK Times on Sunday (not a tabloid!) reported that "lookalike" Jacksons have been hired to perform in some of the more strenuous set pieces. So as not to put unnecessary stress on Mr Jackson.

So what will he do i wonder?

Fearful Jacko’s hunger strike

By PETE SAMSON
US Editor

CANCER-stricken MICHAEL JACKSON is shunning food and now weighs less than nine stone, The Sun can reveal.

Thriller singer Jacko, who is 5ft 10ins, is said to be terrified that piling on the pounds could ruin his chances of beating the disease.

So he is insisting on eating just one meal a day. A source said: “Michael has a phobia about getting fat.

“He doesn’t want to put on any weight at all. It’s not healthy for him because he weighs less than nine stone now.

“But he is insistent that he’ll only eat once a day and is adamant that’s enough food from him. He’s very thin and frail.

Jacko, 50 — hit by the skin cancer diagnosis last month — has already had painful shave biopsies on his chest, arm and nose to remove potentially lethal growths.

He visited a cancer clinic in Beverly Hills on Monday.

He has told friends he fears the cancer will make his nose fall off. The Sun revealed he will not have to undergo radiotherapy.

But there are fears the singer may not be strong enough to go ahead with 50 gigs at the O2 in London this summer. Jacko has already shelved four shows.
