I hated them then and I hate them now. I was living in New Orleans when No Limit made it big, so I was there for a lot of it. I'll never be able to take that mess seriously. disbelief

OK, I'll admit I like to laugh at "It Ain't My Fault." lol

No, no. THIS was No Limit Records' finest hour:

No Limit's finest hour was the one when they discovered there actually was a limit.

What happened? I've never heard about this ...

No Limit & CMR had a quiet little feud a while back. I can't find Cash Money's diss off hand. But I did find TRU's:

Master P dissed Baby in the first verse.

Are you sure that was a diss track? I don't remember hearing anything about it being a diss back in the day?? Mystikal had beef with the old CMR, but this was before he was with No Limit. My cousin once told me C-Murder slapped Juvenile at a club.

Around that time, it was common knowledge that Cash Money Records were on the rise of popularity outside of Louisiana. And although no one from either labels mention each other by names (out of respect of what went wrong in the 2pac & Biggle's bi-coastal feud), you could definitely tell by listening/reading the song lyrics that they really didn't like each other. Master P made it too obvious in the first verse of Hoody Hoo, putting down Baby The Birdman when Cash Money was catching with No Limit at that point.

I don't know. A lot of them dudes was close friends, coming from the same neighborhood and whatnot. BG, Mac and Soulja Slim were real close. C-Murder and BG did a track together.

I did however find this gem C-Murder dissing Juvenile, Cash Money and former No Limit Soldier Mystikal.

I could never get either No Limit or Cash Money. "Ha" is a hilarious record tho, I'll play it if something pisses me off and just laugh. lol As for "No Limit"... that was, uh... God I'm kinda speechless on 'em. One guy yelled like he was straining (Master P), other guy mumbled (Silkk), another just yell gibberish (Mystikal), one was just there (Mia X) and another strainer (C Murder). They were all...interesting. As were the CMR crew. confused

Mia X & DJ Mannie Fresh were good friends & big fans of each others music. But THAT is the only sold exception that I knew of.

KLC and Mannie are also good friends. Hell, KLC did some early Cash Money productions.

Excuse you, but Mia X was one of the most underrated female MC of the 1990's. And THIS was the last good album from No Limit Records that was worth buying:

Never heard the whole thing, a few tracks from youtube. It was from 95 so it should still have that Bay Area No Limit sound, which was bangin'. I'm pretty sure it's better than both.

Little Known fact. Good Girl Gone Bad is the only No Limit release between 1994 and whenever to not make the charts. Weird considering it was released right around the time P and No Limit started to make some noise (1995)

lol That's how alot of people from the Wards talk. While in college, I worked the front desk in the boys dorm and when guys from New Orleans would ask me questions, I would tell them to ask their RAs, usually because I couldn't understand a word they were saying. They got super thick accents, mumble at times, and can often turn a whole sentence into one big word...that's NOLA for ya. Man, I miss Louisiana. sad
