Slowing it down with "Lady" by The Whispers...

Now I'm going to slow it down a little bit with "Lady" by The Whispers which is my favorite slow jam by them. Anybody like this one?

I got that one myself a few weeks myself, on vinyl. There's another fast cut on there I like. I can't think of the name of it right now though. I think it's "Straight Out The Box".

One of my favorite songs by the Whispers smile
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

Yep,it's called "Out The Box".That's a jam too.I think it was a single because I heard it on the radio all the time in 1980.I was gonna do a thread about that song but the Youtube clip is mixed with another Whispers song "Emergency".I like that song too,but I wanted a clip featuring the one song that I'm focused on ("Out The Box") lol

The style of this song reminds me what we used to call a "lounge" back in the 1970s. More of a laid back type bar and grill that was usually dark with candles on the tables with people sitting around drinking and listening to a live group play laid back kinda jazzy type slow jams.

I remember hearing it the radio back then and also on "Soul Train" and our local dance show called "Black Gold". I never heard it again until I got the album a few weeks ago. That's the good thing about getting a full album by an artist rather than just a greatest hits compilation. On an album, there is usually a song or two that you had totally forgotten about because the radio never plays them any more. When you hear them again after all these years, the memories coming flowing back.
