epic fail with the new album. its hard to imagine this is the same dude that sung "hello". at least this tune is decent.

the new album once again has been bumped back to May this time, and word is may not get a US release. I have the promo advance and its not good at all, its just Lionel trying to be akon for half the album, the other half he's trying to be Ne-yo with wack ass slick RB production midtempo BS, barely anything worth saving on this record

I can't understand why lionel felt the need to work with Akon
and Neyo. He stated he wanted these cats to tell him what lionel would
sound like in 2008. The answer: Worse than dancing on the ceiling.
Don't laugh at my funk

The Commodores sucked too. lol Seriously, this is the one R&B/funk group that doesn't even have one song that I can tolerate. They just always came off like the "poor man's version of.." to me.

I hate to say this, but I am actually hoping that this CD will flop.It will force Lionel to come to his senses and finally do that Commodores reunion lol Last summer,he mentioned that it will happen after his next solo album,so let's hurry up and get past this fiasco and move on to the reunion!

And if he really felt that he needed some production assistance, why didn't he go to Raphael Saadiq and Robin Thicke? Those are two extremely talented MUSICIANS who could have given Lionel a genuinely soulful musical makeover.
