The Rick James message board: What's going on? Anybody know what's going on with this? I had a good time over there as Otan, especially when I would bring up Prince and mistermaxxx would be right there to start in on me. It's been down since march 28, 2008.

mistermaxxx is the same way at Okayplayer but that's my homie so I just laugh about it. He did give props for that interview a couple of months ago Bboy87, Timmy84, LittleBlueCorvette, MuthaFunka, phunkdaddy, and Christopher: the revamped nWo!

Otan, I have no idea, I too had a great time over there as Timtation99, I go check over there every couple of weeks to see if anything is happening, but the site is as dead as Rick himself. Its sad to see, but its reality. Hopefully they'll get it up and running soon. "Hey, it can always be worse."

I haven't been there in over a year. When I sign in, it wouldn't let me enter the forums. Hell, maybe they banned me or something because I didn't like his latest album. Who knows? Oh well.....

speaking of Rick James...it's time for Motown/Universal to upgrade his catalog. How about some fresh remasters of his albums, especially 'Throwin Down' and 'Bustin Out Of L7'? And maybe a box set? "I just woke up from a fuzzy dream....you never would believe the things that I have seen".

I've been waiting for them to re-release all of his albums 'forever and a day' (pun intended). Especially 'Glow', 'Throwin' Down', 'Garden of Love', and 'Fire It Up'. But a box set would be sweet. But I'm sure Motown won't act. "Hey, it can always be worse."

I'm thinking they could at least START with a proper box set, like just about every other prolific act on Motown has had.
