We have 2.5 months left to discover our favorite albums of 2008...

Are you looking forward to any albums in the next two and a half months that you think could be a contender for Best Album of 2008, or do you pretty much feel you've already discovered your faves of the year and nothing is gonna budge your opinion?

(and NO, this isn't my impatient, passive-aggressive way of making people spill what their favorite albums of '08 are...though if you'd like to share that information, i certainly wouldn't be offended. biggrin )

ok, so maybe a little passive-aggressive redface

Im pretty much sure that i have found my Top's of 2008, the problem is picking one, since they came months apart its tough. Im expecting a few new releases in the next few weeks, more on the POP side with, Girls Aloud, which has already gotten raves, and of course Britney. So this year im actually gonna have a favorite pop album and a favorite rock album, since rock really came back strong, a big improvement this year for me with the records released. But i dont think anything is going to blow me away with these new ccds coming in the next few weeks, im saving that mark for the new a-Ha album coming spring 2009

Not been a great year so far, so I'm hoping there's something great coming along.

Drive-By Truckers's "Creation's Dark" is the only thing I've been consistently addicted to:

maybe also the Conner Oberst and Jenny Lewis albums.

I'm definitely looking forward to Beyoncé's album, but I know it won't be the best album of 2008 lol

I've only gotten two albums that were released this year shrug

Oh, wait a minute! smile
If Bowie's iSelect compilation does count then that is my #1 album this year, cuz anything Bowie is heaven and he picked some of my favourite tracks ever!!! cool
(Life On Mars, Sweet Thing suite, The Bewlay Brothers, Lady Grinning Sould, Win, Teenage Wildlife, Loving The Alien, Hang Onto Yourself and Time Will Crawl - the only song from Never Let Me Down I love and this new mix is also great!) biggrin

This, the new Dylan Chronicle set & The Fall's record are the only albums that stood out for me this year.

I don't think there can be another best album of the year. Sure we still have to hear Beyonce's though her stuff isn't appealing to me like before and took a few listens, but so far I think Janet's Discipline is the album of the year, followed by Madonna's Hard Candy

Hands down the record of the year.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

I think REM will get alot of attention come grammy time for this record, it was a huge critically accaimed record and deserved every word of praise

I've seen somebody putting it as an ave/siggy theme in another board hmmm I thought it was a poster for a documentary film.

It's the Foreign Exchange's 2nd album "Leave It All Behind" and you MUST get it. Their first album was the first hip hop album I ever described as "beautiful"...

This one, there's no rapping, just singing
