Updated....Tour not cancelled.. It's on !!!!!!

According to Atlanta’s ratings leader V-103, Janet Jackson’s Rock Witchu Tour has been canceled!

Janet’s tour had been plagued by cancellations since Janet complained of dizziness at a sound check in Montreal last month and had to be rushed to a hospital.

Her management and tour promoter are sticking to their stories that Janet is sick and under a doctor’s care. But critics point to the fact that Janet was released from the hospital only two hours after she was admitted to the ER — not enough time for her to be treated for anything serious.

Some bloggers, myself included, don’t believe Janet is sick at all. It’s more likely that Janet is loving the attention she’s getting from all these cancellations. This is probably more attention than Janet has received in a long time.

Other bloggers are speculating that Janet is pregnant. Even if she was pregnant — which she isn’t — it’s kind of early to be rushing to the hospital and canceling shows when she isn’t even showing. We wish those clueless rumor mongers would find something else better to do with their time.

The news of the cancellation comes on the heels of two more cancellations by Janet following an announcement that Janet’s tour would resume this past weekend in CT.

Visit V-103 for more details.

Verizon Center: Tomorrow's show scheduled to go on as planned

An update at 3:00 this afternoon onto the website of Washington D.C.'s Verizon Center says that Janet's show tomorrow at the venue is "scheduled to go on as planned."

No other announcements about the fate of the show have been made as of 4:00 this afternoon.

The previous eight scheduled concerts of the tour had been postponed and new dates are still pending. The last time she performed was in Toronto on September 28

She might be pregnant. If she is, at her age it's considered very high risk and it wouldn't do for her to be jumping around on stage. I think that's actually plausible.

It's time for Janet to take action, one way or the other.Either announce that the tour is cancelled,or confirm when she will continue it!! I can't believe that she and her management are treating fans this way.

Fine, then cancel the tour and start preparing for the baby.If she's pregnant, that's still no excuse to string the fans along.

Maybe she just found out and is getting second opinions as to whether she can proceed. I'm just speculating but there could be a lot more going on than meets the eye. It's only been a week or so. It could be worse, this could be Prince we're talking about where chances are you'd never hear anything one way or the other. shrug

You're right. If she is pregnant,I'm sure she's probably still in shock, and very confused about how to proceed. There are alot of decisions she has to make right now.I just don't see how much longer she can keep re-scheduling and postponing shows.Something's gotta give.

If she's pregnant then why reschedule only weeks later?

Especially since its high risk she should just shut the show down and put her feet up.
Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

My response was based on if this report about the cancellation is true, then the rescheduling is now a moot point.

Nah, I just meant in general cause I was wondering about the pregnancy aspect myself and then I thought, hold up! Why reschedule. Agh. I don’t know anymore. I almost don’t care as long as she’s not deathly serious.

Yeah, I know whatchu mean. IF she is preggers it's possible that they were taking this time to change the show/routines to accommodate her in order to continue. Didn't Gwen Stefani do the same thing when she was pregnant?

I'm not a huge Janet fan, but I really wanted this to be successful for her. She's had a really rough few years professionally.

On another note, and one that peeps are forgetting. Venues HATE when you cancel, oh they hate it and they have good memories especially when you dont reschedule the event, because they gave you dates and you took them, and then cancelled last minute and so the venue is out big$$.
