Why not the good version? LOL What! I never heard the remix. That version is perhaps even more appropriate for 8/08/08!

It wouldn't be right to compile an 8/08/08 playlist without...

An annoying-ass remix that obscures the TR-808 pattern...
...Yah Mo Be There. Unfortunately I couldn't locate the original studio version. You can still occasionally hear the 808 clap on the and-of-2. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Hard Times - Run DMC I believe this may actually be a different drum machine but damned if the effects of Reaganomics aren't relevant in this day and age! [Edited 8/7/08 19:12pm]

Of course, you can't talk about the TR-808 without this song (the only version I could find on YouTube): "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Here you go... ...You can have this one. I used to have one but I made a trade with The Forat Brothers... ...for a Linn Drum back in the 80s. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. I was in the same industrial complex with Bruce & Ben when they worked at Linn. 360 Systems was in the same complex... ...Remember the MidiBass? When Linn when out of business they (along with their Dad) bought all the remaining inventory and started Forat Electronics. Ben asked if he could borrow my TR-808 to use as a template for one of their first samplers. They kept it so long we eventually made a deal for a Linn Drum. At the time I was trying to make Rock demos with the 808... Wasn't happening. They're good people. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."
