trio of doom/apostrophe(zappa)

This is a very cool cd of music from the one-off supergroup of jaco pastorious,John"Mahavishnu" McLoughlin, and Tony Williams. Really, really tight fusion from the '70's.Great cd and should be checked out by all.

Frank Zappa's cd is also nothing short of funky/freaky/weird/humorous brilliance!! This was almost jarring the first time I listened since I wasn't prepared...now,oh,it's on the hot list!

I have the Trio Of Doom record and I thought it was kind of weak. Just a lot of noodling on the part of all three really without much musicality. I was excited to hear it after I read Jaco's biography and found out that they recorded it, but for my money, there are much better examples out there. The stuff Jaco was doing in NYC with Kenwood Dennard and Hiram Bullock for instance.
