KICK ASS Re-issues of Elton John's classic 70's gems "Elton John" and "Tumbleweed Connection" Two amazing re-issues just put out by Universal with Elton's very own Rocket Records. These two albums get the Expanded edition treatment with digs up tons of demos never ever released or heard since the early 70's, making double disc albums.
The Elton John record which was Elton's second album, and his break-through with "Your Song" and "Border Song". This was back in the day when it all was WORD OF MOUTH and Get your ass on tour and show what you got, and of course, the output during this period by Elton, 17 albums in under 5 years. The Tumbleweed Connection Record is regarding as Elton's best record of the 70's and still ranks near the top of every fans list of best albums. This record was the inspiration for Ryan Adams career in music. "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F | |
