I can't remember any Coldplay! you know for the life of me, I can't remember any Coldplay songs. Is it cuz they appeal to the Gap set?

just think of a radiohead song and then sing the lyrics like you're adam sandler. you've basically got a coldplay song right there.

So I had never heard a Coldplay song (that I knew of). Then I saw the movie Young at Heart about a chorus of senior citizens who sing rock songs and they sing this song called Fix You Being familiar with Radiohead, I was like...cool, they're doing Radiohead. That song must be on one of the Radiohead albums I don't have...
So I got home and searched it. It's a Coldplay song! So yeah, they must sound a lot like Radiohead. I haven't heard the original, but Fix You sung by an 81 year old man with congestive heart failure hooked up to an oxygen tank, is simply divine. When you try your best, but you don't succeed When you get what you want, but not what you need When you feel so tired, but you can't sleep Stuck in reverse And the tears come streaming down your face When you lose something you can't replace When you love someone but it goes to waste Could it be worse? Lights will guide you home, And ignite your bones, And I will try to fix you, High up above or down below When you're too in love to let it go But if you never try you'll never know Just what you're worth Lights will guide you home And ignite your bones And I will try to fix you Tears stream down your face When you lose something you cannot replace Tears stream down on your face And I Tears stream down your face I promise you I will learn from my mistakes Tears stream down on your face And I Lights will guide you home And ignite your bones And I will try to fix you

The Radiohead comparison is still so strange to me. They have so much more in common with Travis than Radiohead IMO. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Also, let me just say that it is mightily impressive there are people who haven't heard "Yellow" or "Clocks." Radio, TV, stores... I didn't know there were still places those two hadn't penetrated. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

i was living in England when they came out and they were everywhere. The "battle" between them and Travis and all that. Then the second album came out and it all went ape shit. I saw them at Earl's Court at the end of the tour for the second album and I wasn't really impressed. I dunno....I don't get it. The after party for that concert was more fun.

I really liked their song Trouble, but other than that, I'm not really a fan If you will, so will I

Coldplay is a really cheap U2, and like U2 they've made a career out of the same damn song.

Add Tool,Aerosmith, RHCP, STP, Metallica, Pearl Jam, and Counting Crows to that list
You have to give them points though. Other bands actually have to try with each record.
