The R. Kelly trial officially kicks off today with opening statements. Essence.com is covering it from the inside with live stream (supposedly will be up later) and info from the court room proceedings as it happens. All type of drama has been popping off with this case up until now. So who knows how it’ll all turn out.

opening statements just wrapped up. the prosecution says kelly is a child pornographer who did a sex production complete with lighting and cameras and disgusting sex. the alleged victim lives in chicago but will not be testifying. the defense says the man is not kelly and say even the fbi reported they cannot tell if it is him. defense showed a picture of kellys back with a mole. they say the mole is not on the tape

Essence has all types of goodies

The defense mentions about a mole on R. Kelly's back, they claim that the man on the tape didn't have a mole. Huh? lol

After that is all revealed (the tape was the first thing to be brought today), I think jury deliberations will either take a day or seven like MJ, lol.

You’re better off for not listening. Miss Jones makes me want to wring her neck. People talk about Wendy but Miss Jones is the thorn in my side. Ugh. Between her and those callers I could barely get through it but really not much different than what he said on Wendy’s show.

Yeah, she's annoying as hell but don't get the focus twisted. This is not about Miss Jones... and she's actually doing very little talking here (for once).

This is Carey Kelly telling the intimate story of his family's dysfunction, revealing well detailed incidents involving his brother's problems with pursuing children including family members and children of friends and employees/business colleauges. He mentions how he was asked to procure girls by his brother when they worked together. He also addresses Robert's bi-sexuality (though I found that part irrelevant). He describes how he was asked to take the fall and serve time for his brother for $50,000 (?) and a three song deal, which once he refused caused a family rift. Jonesy is the LAST person you even notice during his interview...and it definitely sheds light not only on the criminal aspect of this case, but the fact that R.Kelly is a seriously "disturbed" individual that no matter how many years he could be put away, needs TREATMENT and THERAPY. There is a larger issue to be addressed here that makes the fact Miss Jones got the exclusive practically incidental.

Is there audio available on from Wendy's show...? I was wondering, Should I check out her site to see if it's there or is the topic toomuch of a legal Hot Potato?

You’re right, Miss Jones is actually not as bad as she could have been.

I'll see if I can find the Wendy interview. I think they recently replayed it too. She talked about how people thought she was crazy when she had him on back then.

Am I the only one disturbed by the ‘keep it in the family’ stuff and the fact the one woman in particular who called up about saying she was going to the concert later on and basically how could he do this to R? She sounds like the type of woman that turns a blind eye to her own kids getting molested so she can keep her ‘man’.

Argh! See I’m getting mad again.
