This cd is really growing on me. Sounds like Pharrel and Madonna had a good time.Incredible is my favorite.Last two tracks are my least favorite.Overall the cd seems very experimental to me.

My favorite song on this CD is "Heartbeat". This song is just so damn hot and I'm always dancing to this song. Its the song that I always have to put on repeat when I play it. I just wish it was a little bit longer. This is one of those songs that Madonna MUST release as a single. The clubs would be brought to it's knees on this one.

Man I don't know whats wrong with me but I think the favourite 'Miles Away' is bland and boring and one of my least favourites, and the hated song 'Spanish Lesson' is one of my favourites, I love it, it's very fun, and the lyrics are nowhere near as bad as the lyrics on 'She's Not Me' or 'Candy Shop'.

I absolutely love 'Heartbeat', 'Beat Goes On', 'Dance Tonight', 'Spanish Lesson' and 'Voices', and I like Pharrells voice on the songs he sings on, I think they go well togther, he really adds to the tracks. 'The Devil Wouldn't Recognize You' and '4 Minutes' really grew on me from thinking of them as just typical timbaland songs. Those songs make it better than Confessions for me. 'Incredible', 'Give it to Me', 'She's not Me', 'Candy Shop' and 'Miles Away' are good but average, I don't really care for them but can still listen to them.

Which songs are produced by pharrell and which ones by timbaland? I can kind of tell for most but want to know for sure.

Me too! Spanish lesson has amazing energy every time for me. They played voices on the radio today and it gave me shivers. I adore it!

I'm sure this has been mentioned already, but you can totally sing parts of "She's Not Me" to "Supernatural" (and vice-versa). That said, "She's Not Me" is probably my favorite song on the album.

To me, this album is a mix of "Music" and "Confessions." It's got a 'play me in the clubs!' vibe to it, but the lyrics are a bit deeper than "Confessions" without trying too hard. (Okay, I'm sure someone will dispute that, but even "Spanish Lesson" is a step up from "Jimmy Jimmy" or "I Love NY.")

This album is quite easy on the ears from start to finish. Sure it has its weak spots, but it's more cohesive than "Confessions" and more playful than "American Life." Plus, her voice sounds more like the 'young' Madonna than it has in a long time. Damn "Evita"!

Can't you just picture yourself roller-skating to, like, half of this album?

there was a discussion which melodies madonna may have written, and which parts the others.

i tried to figure out the chords to the songs and I think chords are a good indicator.

Heartbeat seems pretty Pharrell to me, especially the Chorus.

Miles Away sounds like Madonna was the main part in teh creative process.

I believe Madonna wrote the chorus for 4 Minutes.

if someone is interested I could post the chords to most of teh songs

Yeah Madonna tends to have a distinct melody technique. She tends to do chord scales - progressing up then back down with the same chords. Miles Away sounds very madonna - as does Voices & Devil. I'd definitely be interested in a disection of the chords / melodies on the album.

Well I finally let "Give It 2 Me" play all the way through today.

So, no one mentioned the melodic interpolation of "Miss Broadway" by Belle Epoque? SoulAlive I know you know this song. Most obvious section arriving right before the "get stupid" breakdown.
