Yeah, it is pretty funky, huh? It should've been on one of his later Motown albums.

I got "Ain't It Funny" on some other Marvin Gaye compilation and love it! I think Gordon Banks remixed it and put it on the album. It was worked on during sessions for "Here, My Dear". Bootsy Collins later remixed it on the deluxe edition of "Here, My Dear". smile

I ain't got the album, lol. Wrong person to ask. lol

Some of the songs on that album I got from an album called The Soulful Sound of Marvin Gaye that had tracks from Midnight Love, Dream of a Lifetime and Romantically Yours.

Well..It's really not a great album..

You can tell Marvin was still workin on it

Motown went in the vaults to make the album complete.

Yeah, I know. CBS needs to be blamed for it. You can tell on "Sanctified Lady" that he wasn't even HALF-done with it. lol

From the Motown vaults released by Sony/Columbia Records, Marvin had a three album deal with them.

Oops, I did mean to say Columbia though Motown teamed up with them for the remaining two albums on Marvin's CBS contract.
