What about the 'Pre-Madonna' CD? It's a collection of pre-fame demos recorded with Stephen Bray in the early 80s.I love the song "Don't You Know",which really should have appeared on Madonna's first album.That's an underrated gem....a great dance track! I also like the Pretenders-sounding "Laugh To Keep From Crying".It's amazing to hear Madonna that way!

Those are two of my favourites, too. Same here. "Survival" is on my MP3 player. Should have been a single ("Secret Garden" is great but it's hardly a pop single). Madonna often choses (or Warner choses?) good pop singles that radio does or can embrace but the albums often have strong songs on there as well. It's kind of funny that most people strongly agree the on this. Who's That Girl soundtrack & You Can Dance EP Who's That Girl? Causing A Commotion The Look Of Love Spotlight I cut and paste it with the original and couldn't think of any disagreement. YCD had some strong mixes (although I hate what they did with "Into the Groove" and the fact that for years that was the key verision out there when the original is superior). I might have to break out some of my Madonna Cds this weekend. | |
