AHA tears it up in EUROPE

AHA have done it again, setting concert records at venues beating a Paul McCartney ticket selling record out. They were also awarded some Platnum awards for their latest cd LIFELINES, they have sold 150,000 in Norway of that title so far, though that doesnt sound like alot to the US, when u have about 3 record stores and 1 radio station its alot. They also have received platnum honors in Germany and Sweden. They recenlty played at Wembley Arena for the first time in a long time, they sold out in record time and thanked the fans for keeping them alive not the record company. As far as the USA goes dont look for AHA to be Touring or Releasing anything non import, Their label WEA will not release the CD here, nor did they release the last one back in 2000. As I have said before this makes no sense to me. If ColdPlay can have success and basically ColdPlay is based around AHA riffs, especially 1990-present AHA not 80's AHA, then there can be a sort of market for AHA. And not as a one hit wonder tour or some shit like that, that is why AHA will not play here because thats how the label wants them marketed here. They expect Take On Me 2002 Mix, well its not happening. AHA on their latest CD have gone further than any band from that peiod has ever done, Bands like U2, Depeche, Duran, all experimented but AHA have had the most to say with their experiments. Their 2000 CD minor Earth Major SKy was BONO's favorite CD that year. AHA will not tour here unless there is a reason too, they have already said it costs too much to bring everything over and play to half full venues when people only remember 2 or 3 songs of yours. I wish there was a radio station with guts or a mind that would just throw on the AHA import one day instead of playing Ashanti for the 40th time in the hour. Or a rock station just giving them a shot, stop playing Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven and try a different song, and not Linkin Park or NickelBack.
If U get the chance and can find their imports of their last 2 CDS get them U will not be let down. Also a DVD just came out from them on their 2000 tour 3 hours of footage and videos and interviews, just picked it up in the import shop for 25 bucks, worth every penny.

"We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F
