PrintableThank you for this article. I love it. It's true that if the music is good the fans will be there. It's not like she's catering to a finicky teenage demographic. Her fans will wait for her just like they wait for Sade. I just hope she doesn't make it a habit.

I'm SO looking forward to Erykah's new music. The "Honey" single is great, but fairly "paint by numbers" Badu, which is smart since it's the first single. But, I know she has all sorts of tricks up her sleeve and I'm dying to hear the album tracks and all the great, interesting, and crazy stuff I know she has in store.
Mama's Gun is an unheralded masterpiece. Granted, it gets a lot of love among the fans, but it deserved more recognition, including awards. | |

Don't even hint to me that inspiration don't get rushed coz I don't fall for that, its cliche and a lame way-out, please.
