Beyoncé & Tina Turner Will Duet at the Grammys Beyoncé & Tina Turner Will Duet at the Grammys
WEDNESDAY JANUARY 23, 2008 08:40 AM EST Photo by: Frank Micelotta / Getty(2) It's a diva double take! Beyoncé Knowles will join forces with the legendary Tina Turner for a performance at the Feb. 10 Grammy Awards, a source close to the show confirms to PEOPLE. News of the A-list duet comes just one day after the Writers Guild of America announced it will not picket the awards show – clearing the way for stars to attend the Los Angeles ceremony. Knowles, 26, has long been vocal about her appreciation for the 68-year-old icon: In 2005, she performed Turner's signature hit, "Proud Mary," during a Kennedy Center tribute. -Omg, I'm so excited that Tina will be performing! I'll definitely be tuning in now. http://www.people.com/peo...07,00.html [Edited 1/23/08 13:01pm] "And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ
"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always

I hope they bury the term "diva" after this duet.

Tina's just doing this to see if she can get in Beyonce's pants.

It worked 4 Prince. I'm not saying Prince wouldn't have delivered a steller performance by himself, but Beyonce's addition introduced him to a younger audience. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I hope it's more of a contest so Tina can wipe that clone (Beyonce) off the stage!!!

Well just to qoute Carlos Santana who was speaking on hanging out with her back in the day, he said that TINA was beyond the term DIVA because Diva's come and go and Tina was just on another level of performer. "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

I don't know how Beyonce can top that performance with Prince, but i'm curious to see how it turns out. Tina hasn't performed on the Grammy's in years (at least not to my knowledge anyway), so i'm definitely looking forward to seeing this. It should be hot! Did it really? As much as I hate to admit it, IT DID help re-introduce him to the masses. Before 04, people thought Prince had lost ALL of his marbles. It wasn't until he announced this tour and did a bunch of press that it really took off. The beginning of ALL of this was the Grammy performance. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Beyonce delivered 2 great perforances in 04 (solo and with P...the bird and the painting was beautiful). Tina will probably knock 'em dead and Beyonce will probably be a supporter. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-
