The song is from 1975 and is on the Mercury album of the same name. The main force of the group was Eugene Record. He had just left the group when this album was recorded. It's out of print and rare, but this song and album wasn't a hit. But damn if it doesn't have all the classic elements of early seventies soul. You can find it on the out of print Chi-lites greatest hits volume 2 on Rhino. "A Lonely Man" is also on that cd. Another classic (to me anyway).
