If this young man is serious about being in show business, and his recording career did not flourish as long as he had hoped...then he needs to do what is referred to as "diversificaton", and continue to engage his talents in other related arenas to his art to first, keep a public presence, and secondly, PAY HIS BILLS. He's a singer. Singers are not only restricted to recording studios and concert venues to hone their craft and maintain a career.

J Records dropping him would have nonthing to do with him performing in a musical. He was dropped because his cd didn't push beyond the amount of units they needed sold to create a healthy bottom line (i.e. $$$) for the company. As a TRUE artist he has to move on to the next gig and literally keep singin' for his supper...
