Goin' Through Pop's Records: Volume I This is littleBLUEcorvette's first installment of the series "Goin' Through Pop's Records."
Earlier today, I went into the garage and went to a stack (or should I say STAX) of my pop's records to see if I could find some interesting stuff. Stack one, I found some common records, a bunch of Marvin Gaye: What's Goin' On, Trouble Man, Here, My Dear, ect; bunch of O'Jays' records: I Love Music, Family Reunion, ect,a ton of AWB and Earth, Wind and Fire. Here are some of the more interesting records I found: -Otis Redding: Live in Europe - 1967 -Hank Crawford:Help Me Make It Through the Night - 1972 (features the theme to Brian's Song) -Tower of Power: Urban Renewal - 1974 -The Floaters: The Floaters - 1977 -Johnny 'Guitar' Watson: Giant - 1978 -The Blackbyrds: Night Grooves - 1978 -The Dramatics: Anytime, Anyplace - 1979 -Lenny Williams: Let's Do it Today - 1980 -Yarbrough & Peoples: The Two of Us - 1980 -Gene Chandler: Gene Chandler '80 - 1980 -Quincy Jones: The Dude - 1981 - Con Funk Shun: To the Max - 1982 (features Love's Train) -Bloodstone: We Go a Long Way Back - 1982 -Stevie Wonder: In Square Circle - 1985 (*FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY/NOT FOR SALE*) -O'Bryan: Surrender - 1986 -Meli'sa Morgan: Good Love - 1987 PRINCE: Always and Forever

I would have highlighted Johnnie Guitar Watson, but I didn't care for the Giant album. Also, Con Funk Shun's albums were pretty hit-and-miss. Stevie's "In Square Circle" is a good one to me. Many don't like it, but "Go Home", "I Love YOu Too Much" and "Overjoyed" make up for any bad songs on the album. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-
