People still use tables! But yeah they use their laptop for their song selection and play em back on Serato records. There's a tone on the record that tells the computer how fast they are spinning so it plays back mp3s just like they are on the platter.. scratchin and everything.

The feel is the same though, except you don't have to take the record off between songs. I kept doing that when I tried it out... like I was about to switch 'em quick, but duh, you just hit Ctrl + -> or whatever.

And even if you are playing Serato and want to put on a normal record, you can just switch the line signal and there ya go.
